Sleeps In Sunbeams's manga / #kidnapped(5)

Tojikometai!

Complete | Yamada Papiko | 2000 released

A hot and fun bunch of short stories. I especially loved the ones with MCs who were a little on the crazy side and the story with the feral boy. This mangaka’s art is always a huge plus too, and the stories have plenty of lol moments.

Kawaii Senpai no Kaigoroshikata

Complete | ICHINASHI Kimi | 2015 released

Not the most comfortable read, but with a yandere seme and an emotionally damaged uke, a normal and sweet story wouldn’t make sense. I really liked the obsession between the two, and how each needed the other. I also liked how the uke was fully capable of dominating the seme at times. The manipulations were satisfyingly dark, especially once you realised they were both guilty of doing that on occasion. Finally openly accepting each other was perfect, and I loved how it seems the seme still isn’t fully aware of how manipulative the uke can be. These MCs are made for each other. For the future, it’s probably safest if nobody tries to come between these guys.

The Tycoon's Pregnant Mistress (The Anetakis Tycoons Book 1)

Complete | Maya banks,Nanao hidaka | 2019 released

Poor Marley went through a lot of crap (so much that the stress of dealing with it caused her to lose her memory). Told she was just a mistress, judged without any consideration for even asking her side of the story, kidnapped and abandoned. Ah yes, better not forget that she was pregnant. All of that yet so quick to forgive… can we spell doormat? I liked the story but she needed a bit more backbone to be a FL I could enjoy.

A Tiny Bit of Cotton Candy

Complete | hogol | 2019 released

It’s only 3 chapters but they are so good. Sungjin and Yohan both have a dark side but with each other they are happy in that fated love kind of way. It’s the sort of story that would be awesome to see fleshed out some more, but for a quick break, it’s perfect.

My God

Complete | Asada Nemui | 2000 released

Two wonderfully original stories. The priest and the cult member followed by the plant guy. They are both a little dark, especially the priest’s tale and even the art style has a suitable grittiness that I really liked. It has a bit of an old style noir effect that suits this mangaka’s offbeat stories.
