Sono Koi ni wa Wake ga Aru

Complete | AKIBA Touko | 2010 released

Such adorable characters! The stoic animal loving 'beast tamer' seme and the beautifully dangerous Aoi were perfect and there were plenty of laugh moments throughout the story. I loved how Azuma mentally likened Aoi to a cat, right down to coming into heat

Kono Ore Ga Omae Nanka Suki Na Wakenai

So many laugh out loud moments! I loved when Fujima went to the pharmacy in disguise only to have chosen the store OkachiMachi worked in That dash to catch up was hilarious! Besides the humour, this was wonderfully sweet and one to re read.

Dekiai Itokon!

Complete | YAMATO Nase | 2011 released

This was the best yaoi! I absolutely loved Yuuto and Touji and the pace that their relationship developed. So many opportunities to see Touji's naughty fantasies which were a highlight of the book for their diversity and creativity, olus the fact they often had me laughing out loud The art was beautiful; pretty much that entire family was good looking. I really admired the little details that distinguished this family from each other and all the work that must have gone into the background as well. I could keep raving about this funny and romantic book but long winded reviews are overrated

Never Understand

Complete | Bbong | 2013 released

I can see why this is such a high rated manga. It was so wonderful I can’t even find the words... Moments of laughing balanced with heart aching empathy. I am sad now to have read the last page of these characters and their friends.

Koi To Wana

Complete | Yamamoto Kotetsuko | 2005 released

Loved these, especially the flower shop story (the manager was drawn amazingly well, especially the lips!). The main story grew on me, I loved most the extra chapter with the visit to “young master’s” home. That page where the guards came in the room cracked me up

Junjou Mistake

Complete | Nakamura Shungiku | 2008 released

A great story, these guys share a devotion to each other that spans decades and they still manage a cute, flustered blush. Adorable.

Seinen 14 Sai

Complete | Yamada Yugi | 2000 released

So many wonderful stories and beautiful BL. Yamada Yugi has a talent at story telling and creating funny scenes and dialogue. The sad story at the end had me in tears, but there was sweetness in that too. Recommended.

Memory of the Future

Complete | KUNIEDA Saika | 2000 released

A fiery, far from perfect couple who seem perfect for each other. With a disapproving grandfather who doesn’t like PDAs at the dining table to an ex girlfriend with a keen eye and a student with a crush, these guys have a lot to juggle in a new relationship of polar opposites. The mangaka created so many expressive moments with these characters, and so many LOLs at their expense, but under all that was a sweet new love neither could deny.

Sugar Code

Complete | natsume isaku | 2008 released

So cute! Natsume Isaku is a master of characters that don’t fit stereotypes or have quirks and/or idiosyncrasies that make them stand out in your memories. The seme in this story is both ruthlessly efficient and dangerous as well as a rumpled, scruffy homesbody. Totally adorable and fun to read.

Heart no Kakurega

Complete | Natsume Isaku | 2012 released

Such a warm hearted story, I totally loved this group of friends, they had a sweet, accepting kind of family feeling happening. It made me want to pack up and move in too. With the two intertwined stories, I fell in love with Izumi and Haruto way more than Momo and Jin. They were so open and expressive; the way Haruto’s face lit up when he saw Izumi, and Izumi’s tears when Haruto broke the cuteness threshold..SO KAWAII!
