Eigyou Nika!
A beautiful story with two very endearing MCs.
Sawatte, Tokashite
I really enjoyed the stories of this group of friends. I also loved the mangaka’s artistic talent and how each pair from the stories were varied in face, hair and build.
Hana Shinobu No Koi
Quirky and fun stories that have some stretches of the imagination that cross the threshold of believability but that’s part of their charm. The ninja bodyguard was a little odd like that. I really loved Masanari’s loyalty and devotion though, he was like a giant puppy and a bit of a goofball, but he was strong and protective and took his role very seriously (indeed ha had a hands on approach for many problems that arose lol). I also thought the Massaging Monkey was funny, but those characters stil had a fair way to go to be in a proper relationship.
Colorful Line
This was a very sweet story that dealt with some of the insecurities of falling in love with your best friend who always dated girls. Shousuke and Tomoki were both adorable and I was surprised to find that it was Tomoki who was the most ready to move with his feelings.
Shitasaki ni Yoake no Aji
This couple were so natural in their relationship together. There was an ease in their move to being a committed pair that was sweet, with no angst about sexuality or coming out. I loved how perfectly they worked together with a dedicated desire for creating the perfect ramen that made me hungry to try some for myself.
Kare ga Megane o Hazusutoki
I liked these stories very much, except they were a tad confusing. The story starts with the transfer student but it jumps right into the story without any background or character introduction. In fact, if you want to see the transfer students first day at school and meeting Ichita, you have to read the second story that starts at chapter 3 (and after Ichita and Tsuchiya have finished their story). For a while I thought that perhaps it would be better to start at chapter 3 and go back to chapter 1 at the end, but that one ends at uni when they are older so going back would be weird. I liked the second couples story more, it flowed better and wasn’t as rushed spanning extra chapters.
Kisu, Shite Ii Desu Ka...?
A cute little oneshot about second chances to be honest about feelings and a friendship that goes back to childhood.
Isekai De "kuro No Iyashi Te" Tte Yobarete Imasu
Kanzaki Misuzu is whisked into a different world of magic and knights where she becomes the Black Healer, Daughter of Gaia (the God of the world) and sets about to find her way home. I enjoyed her journey, she was a brave adventuress who sought to use the talents she had to make her own way. The romance was sweet, though probably something I wanted more of and I liked the choices Reene made. My only issue was the ending seemed just a touch fast (the flow was a little off, perhaps from the new translator) and I wanted to see her life more in the demon world (the whole story was really spent in the human realm after all). A recommended read.
