Three short stories, all interesting and with a touch of sadness to them. None of the loves/ relationships were easy because the MCs had troubles within themselves that needed to be dealt with.

These two stories were very different takes on the vampires and their brides in that the brides were very different. The first was a reincarnated soul of her vampires true love. She was a workaholic, independent and strong willed. The second season’s bride was more of a romantic, younger, a bit of a crybaby but still with some inner strength that stopped her from being a pushover. I preferred the second couple but both were good stories. The art was nice, sadly no sexy scenes (seems like an opportunity lost in vampire romances) and the stories were entertaining. A little lacking in depth and complexity, and the first story had moments of unusual rapid progression that were jarring, but I would still recommend these for some light fun.

Dr. Sakaki is a dedicated and driven neurologist. Yuuki Takahiro is the new hospital mortician who has just taken up his place in the family business. When they first meet Yuuki is scolded for being unprepared for his role by Sakaki. Instead of being despondent or resentful, Yuuki takes the advice to heart and starts to strive to do his best. It’s a confronting job that is far from his childhood dream of being a writer, but as the story progresses we see Yuuki become inspired by Sakaki and grow in confidence in his role, finding the moments of joy and achievement and that slow recognition that he is making a positive difference on those around him. Dr. Sakaki is full of ego and indomitable will. He works long hours, rarely goes home to sleep and has a lot of expectations placed upon him. Anyone brave enough to carve themselves a place in his life will need to be a little selfless and share him with his career. Someone gentle and kind who can fall for a man who teases and challenges. Someone like Yuuki.

A cute but basic story (needed some more pages to make falling for the doctor more believable). I enjoy a good stalker story. The doctor was definitely a bit of a pervert but a sweet one.

A well told tale with a FL worthy of admiration. I loved her slow relationship with Prince Linden and her love for being a doctor with a formidable work ethic. The romance between the MCs was beautiful. Small things like walking the streets together arm in arm, playing in the surf, strawberry cakes and loving hugs in times of trouble. It was very wholesome. A fated pair and a lovely story.

Trigger Warning: Rape. An ok bunch of oneshots. All a little too short to feel true connections being formed. I really disliked the doctor story with the rape. Whatever he was blaming/ punishing him for was seriously not even remotely justification.

Story is completed This is a beautifully drawn story of an alpha detective and a beta doctor. Don’t be looking for wholesome love here, these men are much more than homebodies looking for the quiet life. The backstory of drugs and human Guinea pigs is interesting, the unexpected dynamic between Eric and Leon is hot, hot, hot, and the little twists in their relationship is very satisfying. Recommended reading!
