A princess trapped by royal duty is the target of a deranged stalker. Surviving an attempt on her life she becomes stranded on an island with a protective Greek bodyguard who hides his past. I enjoyed this story, both the MCs had some dark history and they were good to each other. I liked the ending too, nice and tidy HEA.

Cute story about a bro obsessed first year student, Takao who falls for a rich kids bodyguard, Fujioka. The extra characters ranged from clueless airheads like the older bro to manipulative but nice meddlers like Mizuno. The story was slow paced and sweet and I particularly admired Takao’s personality. He was bold and willing to take risks but also adorable and someone you want to protect.

Trigger Warning: Dubious consent Story 1 with the sliced up and self centred host and the muscled bodyguard who wanted to be at his side was rather messed up. Apple wasn’t very likeable and the bodyguard’s actions during the attack made him rather awful too. Though they ended up being good with each other, their relationship left a bit of an unpleasant taste. Story 2 with the call boy forcing the straight host was not one for me. The call boy was seriously unlikeable and there was no caring between the guys. It was simply a smut story. Story 3 with the 40yo divorced programmer and his housekeeper (young enough to be his son) was the story that I liked. They shared a loneliness and attraction that was much more romantic and each filled unmet needs in the other. I would happily reread this one.

Trigger Warning: Rape (not seme MC) The story of a remarkable orphan boy with ruby red eyes who grew to adulthood with a unique ability; to not die. Noah ended up being approached by a CEO of a mob business to be his bullet shield only once Allen Lewton realised that his new employee felt pain, he changed. Soon the ruthless CEO showed his determination to make Noah fall for him because he was head over heels in love with the red eyed Noah. The story was interesting and the mystery around Noah’s forgotten past was intriguing. Certainly Noah was a very likeable character and had a truly kind heart and I appreciated how protective Allen was of him (sadly not protective enough with respect to a certain someone ).

Prickly tempered and difficult to get to know, Han Jae-hwa is a thriller writer who is attracts attention due to his delicate looks and excellent writings. But right now he has his own thriller in the form of a stalker who has targeted him. Enter the very much his type bodyguard, Seong Tae-kyung. Now the confident uke is really off balance emotionally as he finds himself the object of teasing humour and sexual interest from Taekyung. I liked this story. It was entertaining with lovely art and just enough potential bad guy stalkers to keep you guessing. It lacked intensity for me, but it’s still a good read.

A spin off to the manhua, ‘Ruthless’. This story follows Starshine Company’s top model Yuan Cheng Zong (Clan) and his bodyguard, the coldly composed, Lu Zheng. Set to a backdrop of family expectations and corporate rivalries, this was a good story for the first 2/3 or so, but became heavily bogged down with secondary and tertiary characters and the family business towards the end. I found it to be a bit of a slog to remember characters from early who reappeared for the end run and the story didn’t sustain my interest towards the end. Still, the main couples story was consistently cute.
