Sleeps In Sunbeams's manga / #Yakuza(69)

A Japanese hotel concierge and a French artist, a hotel owner and his best employee, the son of an ex Yakuza boss and the older bodyguard/butler turned lover and ‘business man’. These are the three couples in this manga and as short stories they were enjoyable. I liked the connection between the first two because they had known each other for a while before agreeing to a one night stand. Only once wasnt enough and their feelings for each other became deeper. I loved that the seme in this story put the happiness of his lover above himself. It was sweetly unselfish (a rare find in yaoi). The second story was short but the pair had history together. This was a story about accepting nothing less than a strong emotional connection and was sweet because of how the employee would accept nothing but a true bond from his boss. The final story was a sequel to ‘Shitsuji wa oose no mama ni’ and is best read after that story.

Two hot stories that rock for different reasons. In the Mr Wolf series, the sensei was intelligent, good looking, a little disorganised and a man with principles. He was also surprisingly alpha and dominant and that was super sexy. The second story of two Yakuza brothers was even hotter. For me, that was because the uke was so alpha and dominant. With these brothers it’s a clash of wills as they reunite after years apart and deal with the anger of the one who felt abandoned by the brother he admired. Neither of these guys is a pushover and it makes for a hot and sexy relationship. My only real critique of both stories is that they would benefit from a few more chapters to do justice to the interesting characters. This is especially true for the Yakuza story, that one had loads more story to tell.

The main story with the Yakuza father and his sons teacher was my favourite in this selection. There were some hints at a twisted side to the father which were interesting, but overall he was a dad who loved his son and wanted the best for him and that was adorable. My other favourite was the possessive yandere story. It was a real surprise to see the dangerous side to that guy but I loved that too. It just failed for being way, way too short The other stories had more “normal” MCs and were enjoyable reads, if not the most memorable.

For such short stories these were really cute. I liked the archery couple, their story would be even better with another few chapters. The two Yakuza stories were also enjoyable, and again there was potential for a more solid series there. The teacher and young Boss were the best there. It was cute how the much younger seme could fluster his lover.

These stories were fun and full of sexy love. I especially loved the first one with the delinquent. The onsen scene was quite steamy (ba dum tss!)

I loved the tough gritty nature of the MCs in the yakuza story. They weren’t sweet guys but they were perfect together and I agree with other comments about the granny. She was Boss!

These two men had all the intensity and passion for each other you could ever hope for. When dangerous men fall for each other and Nishida Higashi is writing you are set for the very best of stories. I absolutely LOVED this!

These short stories were cute with the Yakuza and dry cleaner couple being my favourite by far. I loved the assertiveness of the uke, he was sweet and gentle but no pushover

A hot and sexy story laced with a hefty dose of the adorable. In this manga, the uke is the older man Minoru-san who helped raise Fuutarou after he was abandoned by his parents. Minoru is very protective and has an intimidating presence, but Fuutarou has experienced his kindness for years and has fallen in love with the older man. However, Fuutarou would never jeopardise his relationship with Minaru-san by revealing his lust filled fantasies. At least not intentionally. Not at first anyway.

Well...I read some comments so I knew it was weird but..... He is one sick puppy.
