Koishite Baby (MIYAKO Mimeko)

Complete | MIYAKO Mimeko | 2019 released

Chii-chan (alpha) and Kiyo (omega) have been best friends since middle school. Kiyo has been in love with his oblivious friend forever, but Chii-chan sees the tall omega as a little brother. The shorter and stocky alpha is very protective of his friend though, and works in the nightclub where Kiyo dances to ensure his safety. Even this beginning shows what makes this story so sweet. Neither Chii-chan nor Kiyo are your average alpha or omega, but their affection foe each other is solid, and when Kiyo confesses finally he receives an unexpected answer. These MCs are loving and devoted. They work hard for their future and have a supportive family. The story follows them over a few years and is heartwarming and fluffy. I loved it.

Charming Scarface

Complete | Io Kaziwara | 2000 released

Trigger Warning: Rape For a story with rape and some hot sexy scenes, this was incredibly wholesome. I think it was simply because Yuma (bigger, older uke) was so childlike, naive and innocent. Shizuya (shorter, young seme) was the younger neighbor across the street who was doted on by Yuma from the time he was born. As Shizuya grew up he seemed to idolise the gentle and cheerful Yuma and somewhere along the way that turned into something that included sexual desire. When the smaller and younger Shizuya forced himself sexually on Yuma it was really sad. Shizuya handled the whole situation poorly and the confusion felt by Yuma was clearly portrayed. It served plot purpose though, in clearly establishing that Yuma had never looked at Shizuya in a sexual manner. I liked how the author made the MCs face their problems head on to progress, right up to being honest with the mom when they became a couple. And I especially liked Yuma’s gentle and innocently childlike nature.

two size, too small

Complete | Mizore | 2000 released

This was a cute piece of fluff with these sweet guys. The gentle giant, Ben, and the little kitten, Keaton. The story was decidedly wholesome with the drama really set around getting Kenton’s older brother, Karl, to let Keaton be free to make his own adult choices.
