Kazuomi’s cruelty masks a lifetime of love though, and his love is definitely more than familial. From his earliest memories Kazuomi has adored Shinobu. Now jealousy of his own father shapes his actions to the point of no control. The relationship between Kazuomi and Shinobu is made awkward by the bro con between brothers, but there is no denying that what Kazuomi feels is intense, possessive and all consuming. For Kazuomi, getting the sexually naive Shinobu to understand that he is loved is the first step. Getting him to choose him over nii-san may be impossible though. It’s enough to drive anyone a little crazy.

The only person he loved and was caring toward was the illegitimate young son of his father and his father’s mistress. However, Koutaru rejected his arrogant pursuit, leaving him vulnerable to his younger brother Ibuki. This was a rather twisted story of obsessive love between siblings and the lengths a determined man will go to, in order to keep an arrogant sibling for himself. I liked it, though it’s not for everyone as Kazuma was challenging to like at times. Lonely Butler: A simple boy runs from the abuse of home to starve on the streets. A lonely young master saves him and brings him home to be his butler, his friend, and more. But an accident separates them and lies keep them apart. This story follows the “loyal dog Jeremy” and his young master Luke and their second chance. It’s a mix of sweetness (with loveable characters) and sadness (with events keeping them apart) and a cute story overall

Math prep teacher Mr Kiriya is being ardently pursued by senior year student Akito. The younger student fell in love with Mr Kiriya the moment he laid eyes upon him, even when he realised his sensei had feelings for another man. This adorably fluffy story follows this pair as they enter a one sided love alliance with each other. One where they will support each other in their one sided pursuit. Only, maybe now it’s not so one sided anymore.

Trigger Warning: Incest (uncle x nephew) Kurebe Tooru is orphaned as a child and is taken in by his maternal grandfather. Living with his grandfather and uncle (mother’s younger brother) gave Tooru some stability but over time he developed feelings for his uncle that were forbidden. Little did he know that his uncle was tormented by forbidden feelings of his own. This story follows the uncle and nephew over years and through other relationships. I felt a bit sorry for sensei (Tooru’s lover at college) because he loved Tooru. Usually, if someone loves somebody else I would hate them being in another relationship, but when your love is so forbidden you can understand why they do everything other than pursue it. What will it take for this pair to realise their love for each other is reciprocated? This story will take you through the twists and turns of a love that won’t be ignored.

These guys were absolutely adorable. Seichi Hasuki was a single dad (34yo) designer who was looking for love and someone to spoil him. Inukai is the much younger man who fell for him at their first meeting. Both men are beautiful and both come with a bit of baggage that needs to be worked on. I loved their dynamic and it was also fun to see their kinky bedroom role play and cosplay. Recommend read.

Gentle Nao has been a caretaker for Ryuuhei for years, filling the gap for Ryuuhei‘s absent working father. Now about to graduate, Ryuuhei is in love with the man he thinks is his father’s lover. I thought this story was very sweet and the misunderstandings were understandable ones to make. The strange stalker is a concern though; seems that Nao will need his guard dog close by just in case.

I loved Asuka (22yo) and Yui (17yo) and their complicated relationship. The last 5 years have been quiet between these step brothers following a night of embarrassing sexual moments. But now the brothers are in a situation that has them confronting their feelings for each other and falling irrevocably in love with each other. The more serious and silent Yui is the brother with the more intense and long lived feelings of love. But both brothers end up being truly devoted and self sacrificing in this sexy and romantic story.

Narito was a loner for most of his life. Misfortune seemed to befall those who became involved with him so when an older man named Koma glomped onto him calling him Master he was quick to try get some distance. However, Koma was a Dog Demon bound to Narito’s soul and having finally found him in his current reincarnation he wasn’t going anywhere. I liked the story, especially when the siblings also became part of Narito’s life. He won’t be alone anymore, that’s for sure.

Trigger warning: Rape Son of a Yakuza boss and high school student, Jinguuji has been missing classes. So Yuuki, the assistant teacher in charge is tasked to visit him at home and get him to attend. But Yuuki has the misfortune to intrude upon Jinguuji while he is being serviced by a girl. His interruption turns Jinguuji’s rather predatory attention on Yuuki who is unable to evade his student. The rest of the story follows this violent start to their relationship but there is some redemption in Jinguuji being at the mercy of his beast in heat. There is definitely an intense connection between the MCs. A recommended read.

What a lovely age gap story. Novelist Shiraishi Shoutarou has a 21yo daughter who is engaged to his editor-in-charge, Osanai Masumi. When she runs off on her wedding day, the two men stay living together. The gentle kindness and warmth of Masumi winds it’s way around Shoutarou’s heart. I won’t divulge more and give spoilers. Suffice to say this is a sweet, feel good story that is worth a read.
