Enjoyable stories, cute characters. Just need some lube for the novices and they’ll be good to go

Akira Norikazu is one of my favourite mangaka and this manga is a fine example of why. With truly beautiful artwork, the seme’s in this collection are powerful looking, frequently dangerous men who fall almost instantly for beautiful guys in a ‘forever’ kind of way. With yakuza in most of these, Akira Norikazu has opportunity to draw these men as dangerous predators you wouldn’t want to mess with (eg. http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/kyou_hana_no_gotoshi/mf/v01/c001/24/ ). Such lucky uke’s!

A great escape with one shots full of hot, sexy semes and a range of adorable ukes. My only complaint is that I think many have the potential to be longer, more developed stories which would be even better.

When I see the mangaka is Akira Norikazu, I know I am in for some of the hottest semes in all the mangaverse. This collection doesn’t disappoint. I loved the twins and their respective partners, both their stories were that wonderful mix of hot sou seme’s, sexy doki doki scenes, head over heels love and adorable, fluffy goodness. The accompanying oneshots were also enjoyable, I only wish they were longer.

Multiple cute stories, two of them interconnected. I enjoyed reading them all, with the construction worker and chef being my favourite.

The story in the blurb that sounded interesting was ruined by the ukes choices after their confrontation. Nothing says “I love you” like the need for testing.. First story I didn’t like at all. Student x sensei; sensei gets raped by the seme who fantasises he is screwing his own brother. But the uke is obviously a kenage uke because being raped seemed meaningless to him and he fell in love with this guy who is yandere for his brother. The guy tries to end his life when his romances don’t go his way, and is an unapologetic rapist. I suppose it will take a doormat of a guy to want him. Oh wait..seems they are perfect for each other after all... The final story was actually a good one with an overly protective brother. This was a toshi-ue uke and toshi-shita seme story that was sweet and definitely worth a read.

A really well written storyline following the lives of these men over years of their lives studying and moving into their respective careers. With complex characters this story was more realistic than many yaoi, and definitely fit the ‘slice of life’ genre amazingly. I loved the creativity and care taken with many of the sexy scenes too, they really added to the whole story. Only one critique from me was the ‘same face syndrome’ which was a little disconcerting at times. But it’s easy enough to ignore as the rest keeps you invested.

Not bad, but not the most sympathetic characters in each story with one of the pair in each being either a cruel sadist paired with a kenage uke or a bicchi uke that really needs to be tested at a health clinic before anything else. While I can often enjoy a sadistic seme, I prefer to know they are devoted to, or at least in love with their uke. I didn’t really get that with these couples.

These stories are the perfect example of why I love yaoi manga; all the fluffy, happy feelings I get after finding stories with such likeable MCs not just falling in love but caring for each other. These guys were so real and genuine, I can only thank the mangaka for sharing their talent.

Really enjoyable stories that inspire sweet, melty feels. Older styled art, but it all works nicely.
