Seinen 14 Sai
So many wonderful stories and beautiful BL. Yamada Yugi has a talent at story telling and creating funny scenes and dialogue. The sad story at the end had me in tears, but there was sweetness in that too. Recommended.
Neko no Koi
Two good stories to read, though I prefer the first one for their long lasting care of each other. The thing that bothered me with Ryo and his uncle was how he forced himself on his drunk uncle and even at the end, seemed to not care about hurting him (and the uncle was definitely not a masochist). At the very least there was a degree of dubious consent which is something I am never a fan of.
Keijijou na Bokura
I enjoyed Houryuu and Shouin’s story very much. These opposites worked through a lot of the insecurities, jealousies and obstacles in life that tend to pop up and test a relationship, especially one that is new. Houryuu was such a positive and affectionate sweetie whereas his “selfish princess” was much more restrained when it came to expressing his love. Despite their different styles, their love was beautifully intense. The other two stories I didn’t like. The second one in particular was just ewww. To have a partner go have sex with someone while you are medically not meant to and you think you will die from a heart problem is simply beyond my ability to forgive. What will his next reason be? For sure, he will do it again. I couldn’t trust him with my heart, better to be alone than with a cheater. The last story..well I didn’t really like either of the MCs and couldn’t get into the story much.
Papa I Love You
So lovely. A fast paced story with an unconventional love, but it works. Adorable pictures too, right down to the little bunny on Aki’s boots. One I have read a few times now and will read again. The second story was not as good but it had some nicely intense passion overtaking moments and was a nice, short read with an older man at prep school and his younger sensei.
Love-doll House Mamiya
Great bunch of stories. I really liked the last two chapters, 6 for their adorable love ritual and the reminder to not judge a book by its cover, and 7 for the friendship group more than the love interest. Nothing says “I care” like a shoe in the face!
Ikumen Datte Koishimasu.
Mishima Kazuhiko has a couple of sweet stories in this manga that are themed around teachers. They have multiple chapters and so are short stories with some character and plot development often lacking in a one chapter oneshot. My favourite was the first one, the kawaii seme was so adorable with his matching bunny or bear hair ties depending on what the adorably drawn Rei was wearing and his sweetly positive outlook on life. His backstory made his comment about no guarantees with your fated love resonate with me.
Marude Hajimete No Koi Mitai Ni
All these stories were so enjoyable. I loved the quirkiness of the first story, like the way they spent the day together; “Circle or square?!” Lol, so abrupt and sweeping his love along in his wake. I would love to see a longer version of the last story, something to make the most of that blackout
So Cute?
Really enjoyable main story and most of the others too. The historical story was one I foresaw a bad ending in from the moment the era was revealed. No way were a gay couple going to have a HEA in those times. I avoid tragedies like the plague so I skimmed the story and still found it distressing. Well drawn, but tragic
