Trigger Warning: Rape The first story was dark and disturbing with rape and what amounted to Stockholm Syndrome. The remaining 2 were odd and difficult to follow. The last was the nicest, but it was still confusing.

Some good stories and some not so good. The move to sex is fast, some are dub con and the most annoying was a continuous rape to love story.

Supernatural short stories with beautiful art. Should be a winning formula but some of the stories were ‘bleh’. I really liked both snake stories, especially the last one. They had some humour and in the case of the last one, some power in the relationship for the uke. The goat and carnivore story was my least favourite (which was so sad because the seme was such a good looking character). There was zero affection, pure sex and not even much in the way of the caring you would hope to see from the seme in a S&M dynamic. Felt entirely non consensual even if the airhead uke had enough masochist tendencies to be sexually satisfied, when all he asked for was to be held gently the seme found his request boring and ignored it. That’s an abuse of power dynamic, not a good S&M relationship. Sucked.

Really good short stories, all of them. The yakuza and delivery guy had a good level of intrigue and strong characters that created some great chemistry and sexual tension. The school setting was the sweetest story of the bunch with the one sided crush. And I really liked the mechanic and stoic salesman. Their unexpected friendship between straight guys that progressed to romance was well paced and I liked the honesty of expression of feelings.

2 complete short stories. Ch. 1-2 & 5.5: Kore de Saigo no Koi ni Shitai- After Ibuki's latest rich older partner turned out to be another married man he decided that he has had enough of being played. So when he noticed that the unsociable and somewhat impertinent new hire, Touma, was stealing glances at him, he took a chance on a younger man. Ch. 3-5: Saiaku ni Oboreruna!- Houjou has a demanding senpai at work whose bossy, perfectionist ways spark his ire. So when he treats himself to a 'delivery boy' service he is stunned to see that the man knocking at his hotel room door is that very source of his stress, Minato! What an irresistible opportunity he can’t let slip by..

CW: Non consent Some old style yaoi stories where none of the relationships were healthy and loving. They were let down by guys with weakness of character and master manipulation skills. From the first teen pair with the slutty friend who indiscriminately sleeps with anyone being raped and lied to by his “best friend”, to the pair of college students with the self centred uke with poor communication skills, to the final toxic yandere who crippled the one he wanted and killed his lovers sister, leaving the man he loved obsessively to be fully emotionally whipped and dependent upon the seme. To be honest none of the couples were likeable, but if you are in the mood for toxic relationships or a yandere, then these fast and easy reads may appeal.

Two lovely age gap stories between mature men. From the company head and the window washer, to the 39yo virgin BL writer and the young guy from sales, these were beautifully drawn, slow burn stories of unexpected love.

These really are a hoard of one shot Villainess stories that make for a great, quick escape.
