Completed story: Eve has been reincarnated 4 times. In each of her lives, she had never made it past her 25th birthday and arrived before Yeoram, God of the Underworld with time still owed on her life. This time she has had enough, and demands to migrate into a new body that met her requirements rather than going through another childhood. So now she is Lady Lukina Evetha Rodlyn, beloved daughter of Duke Rodlyn, engaged to the second prince of the nation, and life should be good. Except someone had murdered the body she was now residing in, her fiancé was a little too close to her best friend, the third prince may not be the trustworthy childhood friend she thought, and on top of all that, she had to work on herself. This is just the start of what could be the life where she can finally fall in love and be happy, or just another fast track to the underworld.

CW: Dub Con A historical BL set in the Korean Josean Era but with a twist. Here, the powers of Yin and Yang play a similar role to alpha and omega in an Omegaverse story. Those with Yin seem able to conceive be they male or female. Yang is the alpha, masculine energy. -Lee Eunwoo: Strong Yin. Given as a tribute to the emperor, Eunwoo is sexually taken and favoured by the emperor on his first day. Failure to acquiesce would harm his family and see himself suffer so be warned, this is forced consent not willing consent. Eunwoo has a gentle nature but must be forever on guard against the Imperial concubines as his being favoured has him rise in their ranks sparking resentment. -The Emperor: A fair representation of such a person who would kill all his siblings to ensure his inheritance. Pure Yang energy. Takes what he wants, when he wants. The story isn’t really romantic to me. Eunwoo has zero choice or control over when he has sex, how often, how long, positions or anything. But he is smart enough to realize that his life is bound here and his safety and existence lie in being the most favoured and beloved. Sad that a happy moment was having the opportunity to choose for himself a hairpin. As for the Emperor, it’s not that he fell for Eunwoo that he wanted them to be the one to carry on imperial heir, but Eunwoo’s lack of political ties in his country. Yes, this pair eventually were apparently “in love” but I never felt that. More the connection of time and a family plus lots of sex. A better life than many for sure. But not heartwarming.

This starts out as your average delinquent (Howth: pink hair, poor grades and attendance, frequently absent father, gets into fights) and good student (Ben: dark haired megane, loner, studies all the time, class president, loves cats) BL story. But it quickly changes when Howth finds himself turning into a cute, pink furred cat that gets rescued by Ben. There are a loads of humorous moments filling the pages of Season 1 as the boys become closer and find ways to juggle study and unexpected cat transformations. Season 2 has some more serious moments even ones that trigger the tears, but overall this was a sweet, fun and enjoyable read with plenty of character growth.

Story is completed. In a fantasy setting there are some individuals who stand apart and defy nature. They are the Yin and the Yang; they follow the rules not of their gender, but the principles of the universe from which they derive their name. Yin, the feminine principle of darkness, bears the seed. Yang, the masculine principle of light, bears it. In this world are an abandoned pair of Yin children. Haram and Hanul are brother and sister with nobody to rely on but each other and live a life of outcasts. When a betrothal with a pure yang was arranged for Hanul, it fell to his sister to take his place when he went missing on military campaign. Rejecting her betrothal, Haram sets out to find Hanul, with the unexpected help of a Yang named Chong Yun.

CW: Rape, physical abuse, emotional abuse Not a story I enjoyed as much as I may have for a couple of reasons. Firstly, some of the translations were pretty appalling. Sadly, Google translate is terrible at straight translations of Chinese and Vietnamese (may be others too, just these I have noticed). Luckily, others stepped in to take over and while I know I should appreciate that people try put up something, when it’s that bad that it just makes no sense, it’s simply annoying. The second reason this may not be worth your time is because the ending is rushed. Like, super rushed because the comic didn’t receive enough support so the author had to wrap it up early. I wish I knew before I started :(. We were just getting into some good suffering angst and then boom, over. What a waste of time. There is a suggestion to find the book to read the end, but I am over this one.

CW: Dub con. Story is completed -Mu Yunshen was a rising swiftly in the military and at S-rank was looking forward to a future as a mech pilot. Until he met Trolese Aslan and his life took a turn. Strong willed, powerful, secretive, Mu believed that power was safety and he worked tenaciously to gain the power to ensure the safety of his twin sons and parents. -Trolese Aslan was his family’s golden child, the next head of the clan, and smitten with Mu at first sight. The powerful Ice Psionic would do anything to gain Mu’s love, but just how far is too far? When he finds Mu after 7 years and realises that the younger man has twins that look uncannily familiar, his pursuit begins again. But now, Aslan has some vulnerabilities that may end everything way too soon. This story was good, with two very powerful and strong men aligning to become a family amidst jealousy, plots, greed, and demons from the past.

An opposites attract, age gap story with an athletic and masculine uke and a doctor who knows all the right places. -Kang Hyuk: Tall, tanned, buff college student with stress induced ED. Hyuk is a really honest and rather naive young man who seeks help from an urologist to manage his problem. -Dr Han Yoojun: A sexy urologist who spends his nights enjoying the gay scene. Plenty of sex, no commitment, a few friends, and a glass of wine; the doctors life is satisfyingly balanced between work and play. He doesn’t believe in love and emotions connections beyond friendship until the blushingly clueless Hyuk entered his office with a problem requiring his help. The dynamic between these two was surprisingly sweet as Dr Han found himself falling for the younger Hyuk. Of the two MCs, it was the doc who had to grow up the most to hold onto the one who came to mean everything to him.

CW: Abuse, cheating, toxic partner. There is such a thing as too much angst. Not only was Gu Yansheng horrendously abusive and cruel, going so far as to violently beating up Wen Nian’nan and dragging him to the basement, but Wen Nian’nan seemed so pathetically weak to keep yearning for such a horrid man. And also, just speak up and let the family speak of the truth. So on one side was a ML who was toxic and the other was a whipping post (and not in a ‘ooh more’ masochistic way..). I even found the redemption arc underwhelming, but it was nice to see Gu chasing what his cruelty lost. But they both seemed to change personalities at the same time. Suddenly, Wen was strongly independent and reclaiming his independence (yay about time) and Gu was floundering and pining for someone who couldn’t stand him. There comes a point that things become unforgivable. This story has such an arc. The author left the ending open here for the reader to decide, then goes on to reveal that in the story they end up together happy and successful after Gu Yancheng learned some anger management. But, for me, a happy ending would be for Wen Nian’nan to leave and never look back, finding his future success away from that abuser and looking towards a different, caring partner in the future. Gu Yancheng needs to go his own way and I don’t see him as being someone Wen Niannan could ever fully trust with his vulnerabilities again. And seriously? That last bit… Pop some fireworks and it’s all ok? Nope. Since we can decide for ourselves, my Wen is going to continue finding his independence, pursue his music, be successful and eventually fall for a kind partner who adores him. Gu idc.

CW: Non consent, kidnapping, toxic relationship -Daniel Winter: Half wolf, orphan, college student. Daniel has fallen hard for his dorm mate, Ian Summers. So when the little wolf disappeared after his proposal, Ian became obsessed with finding his lost lover and ensuring that he never strayed again, no matter what extremes he had to go to.
