Story is completed I loved this story so much. It’s one of my favourite tropes to have the ML be considered powerful and dangerous to everyone except the one he loves where he is a protective, gentle, and loving pushover. Crown Prince Muyeong is truly a frightening beast. He is a cold and ruthless killer in war, capable of what can only be considered atrocities. His reputation becomes such that his mere appearance on a battlefield would have the enemy fleeing. Hwayeon Ryu is the beloved daughter of Chancellor Ryu and awakening from a coma she is now also also the reincarnated Yeonu Lee with all the traumatic memories of her short life in a distant future. With all the memories of both, Hwayeon is a gentle and sweet soul who is drawn to Muyeong and only sees the best in him. Their story is packed full of comedy (especially from their respective families) and a beautifully intense connection with each other. I really recommend and will read this again. Hwayeon Ryu, without knowing the cause, falls into a coma at the age of six. Then after 12 long years of her father, Chung Ryu's persistent attempts, she finally opens her eyes. As she wakens from her prolonged sleep, she realizes she not only has her memories but has the memories of someone else's life, Yeonu Lee. Though startled at first, as time passes, she manages to adjust to her new life. Then one day, in hope to have lunch with her father, she pays a visit to the palace. But she ends up taking the wrong turn and finds herself in front of the notorious beast, crown prince Muyeong... The story unfolds then, when the soft and delicate flower Hwayeon meets the arrogant and fearless beast, Muyeong.

Life’s not easy for a child of Heaven and Hell! Given a second chance to live, Jo Ara was happy to trade her dire past for a world of fantasy and magic. The only catch is she was reborn as Irene Neros Parjunel, the beloved newborn child of the southern demon king! With the god of the underworld and her deceased mother watching over her, she sets out to discover her place in this world. Throw in a snarky angel godmother and a stubborn demon godfather, and it’s the perfect setting for mischief and chaos. Will Irene succeed in helping her father battle the threats that plague him? And after making plenty of friends along the way, can she finally experience true love, too? I really enjoyed the story. If anyone ever deserved to be loved and beautiful, it was Irene. And the relationship between father and daughter was absolutely wonderful. Note: The translation was not always the best here. I read on Tappas after buying the official version and was glad I did. They don’t compare well, especially in the beginning and end (the parts where I compared). Spoiler alerts: As for the romances, in this version the ending is different to the novel. Which is kind of sad in a way because Ren had been so lonely for so long, and he chose to stay and uphold his promise to Rin and clearly he loved her, choosing to not follow Erin. But when Rei was trapped in the dream, it was his deepest hope to marry Rin and raise a family with her while (in this version) Ren dreamt of acceptance from his old team and leading his friends. Given that we had this insight into the characters hearts, having the dragon and the princess end up together really made the most sense and was very satisfying.

Completed story A really enjoyable story based upon a light novel. I liked the MCs, and the girl power friendship,plus the yandere side to the ML. The ending was definitely rushed and didn’t cover quite a lot that was in the novel. It would have probably benefited from another 30 chapters including sides.

I made it through to the end. Nearly didn’t read it all, but the story did well enough to keep me turning pages in hopes of a good ending. I actually like the main couple. Haron was a gentle and loving partner, the kind of guy that makes and excellent husband and I was happy for the MCs story. Most of the manhwa could have ended with the first 50 chapters, plus the wedding and very final chapter. The rest was a bit of a drag. I didn’t like the cop out with Russel and the fairy. Forgetting all that is to not grow and move on in a healthy way. All the wishes (like Irene walking) and that what he picked? What a waste. Also, what happened with Harons parents? For something that dragged on, it sure missed some key things and rushed others. In summation, it was an ok read. The MCs romance was sweet, but lots of the story was otherwise skippable.

CW: Rape (not involving either MC). This is a smut story but there’s some plot too. The sexually confident FL is tired of dating men who are selfish lovers and wishes for more. So boom, she is in a historical world and adopted by a powerful man in order to be entered into the Emperor’s harem as a concubine. Now that barely there plot setting is over, we get to the real story which is Kayeon captivating the Emperors’ body, mind, and ultimately heart. Her sexuality isn’t the sum of her (thankfully) because she shows intelligence and grit to survive jealousy from the harem and political machinations against the Emperor. And the affection between the MCs balances the smut just a little, but ultimately you gotta admire a woman who is confident in her femininity.

These really are a hoard of one shot Villainess stories that make for a great, quick escape.

Completed story Yoon Haneul: Modern woman and a pushover, Yoon finds herself isekaied into a novel she had written 10 years earlier. One full of youthful cliches and tropes that made her cringe, and one where she became the villainess. Aila Mertensia: The villainess who existed in the novel to make the heroine shine. Daughter to a powerful duke, now that Yoon is inhabiting this body she is determined to avoid that bloody ending and enjoy her favourite novels. Only it seems that avoiding her role has placed time in an endless loop. And it seems that she isn’t the only one to notice. Killian: Centuries old and a powerful warlock, Killian had been stuck in a repetitive and irritating day and was determined to destroy the one responsible. Tracing that person led him to Alia. In order to help time move on, he decides to help her become the perfect villainess. I really loved the story. The MCs were wonderfully designed and the plot was enjoyable. The ending was a bit fast perhaps, but it wrapped things up pretty well and was very satisfying as far as the MCs future goes. Based on a light novel

Completed Story Opinion: There was a lot of drama about this being a story of grooming but it really wasn’t. It’s got a 9yr age gap between Estelle and her knight but when they get to the time of realising their feelings she is an adult and even then there is a lot that happens and a lot of character development before they become a couple. The healthiest relationship was actually between the Castielo family members with a doting dad and protective brother. The irony that they were so strong and loving given their demon heritage often intruded on my thoughts. Main couple: 8/10 FL: 8/10 - Estelle Castielo, Pink Eyes. Abused for her first 11 years, the FL had a lot of insecurities and trauma to deal with, but she was sweet, strong, and likeable. I loved her coming into her adult strength too. ML: 8/10 - Knight Emile. Around 9 years older than FL? Protective of Estelle, has a darker history than you would think given his personality in the first half and a more dangerously unpredictability to him. Story/Concept: The story was told in two distinct stages. Childhood and adulthood. In Estelle’s young years, there were a few highly traumatic arcs but overall it was a time of strong family bonds and the everyday innocence and sweetness of childhood. In her adult years the story changed pace intensely, introducing angst, drama, self sacrifice, and a significant time of separation for the FL and ML. There were times you just want things to settle down, but there was a lot to resolve and overcome. Overall I enjoyed the roller coaster ride and it’s subsequent character growth. Tropes: Historical. Completed story Opinion: From beginning to end this was a fast paced story and I found that suited the characters. Both FL and ML were rather blunt, honest, and upfront. They communicated so well and there was a lot of mutual respect so they progressed through the story rather swiftly. Their filler scenes weren’t made up of misunderstandings and angst but lovey dovey moments and shared interests like sword fighting or solving the problems surrounding the FLs situation. Main couple: 9/10 (bonus points for best communication) FL: 8/10 - Jeongyun/Lecian Fucernien. 17 -> 18yo. Very self confident, pragmatic, upfront, and self sufficient. Not one to be restricted by social norms. Well versed in self defense. ML: 8/10 - Duke Kiernan Satosian. Captain of the imperial guard and close friend to the crown prince. Similar personality to FL only a bit softer than her at times; forthright, honest, supportive, respectful, great communicator. Story/Concept: This is an isekai story featuring truck-kun. When Jeongyun finds herself in the body of the marquess’s unloved daughter she knows that she will be killed before facing a revenge arc. But this FL would rather skip the death given her encounter with truck-kun and stay alive first time around. With her strong, independent personality she immediately takes charge and makes changes. Along the way she meets and befriends characters who were barely mentioned in the original story and gathers herself loyalty and love strong enough to withstand a long nurtured nefarious political plot that risks her own life.
