Sleeps In Sunbeams's manga / #Historical(123)

I loved this story for many reasons. It’s a historical yaoi (more shounen-ai really) that isn’t a tragic story. It had interesting MCs that made an enjoyable couple to get to know. There were chilling moments with the demon lore woven into the story but nothing that was over the top. The pacing of the stories and romance seemed effortless. My only complaint is that the mangaka was not given enough pages to do justice to the Nekomata story. That was really sad because it was the most interesting demon for me

This was a re read for me. It’s been ages but I loved this story and still do. It’s beautiful artwork and wonderful characters in a wild, tribal setting make this a special manga that’s a pleasure to read many times over.

What a surprisingly cute story!

A great bunch of naughty stories that have comical moments and a risk of being caught in the act. Laughing one moment and blushing the next.

Gods and humans make an interesting mix. These stories were interesting and a little different.

Interesting. Some motives for some actions were a little unclear but it was enjoyable in a dark, hurt the one you love kind of way.

A varied collection of one shots, most worth a read. Wasn’t fond of the rape scene, nor that characters proclivity for hunting for people to mess with. At least the uke kicked him out for a while..so many in yaoi are very accepting of a partner who seeks their own sexual gratification via force, drugs and non consensual means.

I love finding stories of nekomata and Bakeneko. This was an enjoyable manga and the historical setting suited it perfectly.

Ah..the tears

These short stories are definitely worth a read. They are all quite different from each other but the art style is nice with bold lines and dark shadows for a more dramatic style than many mangaka. The stories range from the mythical to the symbolic to a host and a gardener. I loved the story of the mountain and the wind, and the host x gardener the most.
