Sleeps In Sunbeams's manga / #Alpha x Omega(64)

This was a really interesting Omegaverse story. Both the MCs were strong, determined characters which is reflected in their drive to succeed at volleyball. They also obviously cared for each other very much, so when the unexpected heat came and Kageyama lost control of himself it was more than a little heartbreaking to read. You couldn’t help but worry for their future. I think that experiencing the alpha/omega fated pair reaction to the heat through Kageyama’s eyes was a good choice. It really showed how the alpha was at the mercy of his nature, how primal he became and how he was at the unforeseen mercy of his alpha side. When his rational side started returning his devastation was real. Then we got to see Hinata’s thoughts, and he was so understanding and ok with the experience, even to the point of being bashful at the end of it. For these two, the alpha and omega bond made sense. By the end of the story I could see that each bought their own strength to the relationship and supported the other when they needed them. Plus, Hinata was such a cute little dynamo, I loved his expressive face. All in all, this was a really well thought out story.

This was ok. Mizutani (omega) was a sex worker as part of resolving left over drama with his mother’s death. He seemed to enjoy his job and there was no rape in the story because Kusaka (alpha) was very temperate, especially for an alpha. There were a few things that I question, like why was Kusaka’s dad so against his son dating an omega when he had loved an omega and found his only peace and joy with them? Legit..baffling. And is this a world where children can prostitute themselves in a common business even missing school and nobody queries it? And what’s with the alpha being ok with getting a BJ then watching the guy he likes go fuck some old guy in the room next to him? Yeah, you know it’s love when … I didn’t like how Mizutani was being so mentally condescending about Kusaka’s gentle lovemaking. Just a gross moment to have the guy you love not as good as the random guys who pay for sex. But hey, his face is sweet. I suppose I just don’t see the omega as pure in any way, and though there are sad circumstances around his mom’s death, being a prostitute for some far fetched revenge plot based on a photo and a crap ton of assumptions hit me right in the cringe. And, tbh I found the alpha kind of weak. Good points in the story include the art, the ending was nice with giving them some time before being together, and it was good the sensei was essentially chased out of the school. I was disappointed but I can see why some may like the whole retribution theme.

I got all teary I really was bracing myself for a sad ending based on the comments, but Bard sacrificed everything he held dear to be with his little Maya. It was a really romantic, ‘all or nothing’ style of ending. I am a sucker for that kind of love.

Wagamama mo Kimi no Tame Nara Ikura Demo: Ch 1-4 Mahiro (omega) is enjoying his adolescence before his heat starts by being a free loving playboy. Serious student Yoneda’s (alpha) gaze follows Mahiro and he is confronted about his feelings with an offer to kiss the boy he likes. But something about Yoneda’s face and stealing his first kiss has Mahiro’s thoughts turning to him with increasing frequency. As these two ado guys start dating their relationship deepens to a true and loyal love. They were so good for each other, and I loved the communication and determination to work through any problems. A really sweet story. Itetsuku Kosen : Ch 5-6 Friends of Mahiro and Yoneda: Natsuki has reluctantly agreed to date playboy alpha Toujimori for one week under the agreement that when Toujimori is no longer interested at the end of the week, he will leave Natsuo alone forever. However, Toujimori’s interest doesn’t seem to be fading.. This was another adorable story with no nasty Omegaverse rape or omega abuse, plenty of adolescent angst and strong feelings and a sweet ending.

The first omega born to a generational family of alphas, Nio left his home young to live independently and away from the cold disapproval of his parents. When he received notice that his older brother Reo had been killed in an accident with his wife, Nio returned to his family home for the funeral. There he overheard discussions about the future custody of his nephews. While the youngest sibling was being taken in by his parents, the older boy Suou was no blood relation (having only been Reo’s stepchild) and was to be abandoned. Seeing many similarities to his own childhood, the kind Nio took custody of Suou, and found that raising the serious boy was as rewarding for him as it was for Suou. Suou was a natural caretaker who also excelled with his grades, sports and being popular. Over his years with Nio, Suou had fallen for the man who took him in. When he started college he also set out to let Nio know that there was more to their relationship than Neo could have dreamed. I found this story very sweet and wholesome. There were a few elements of fated mates suggested through the story and that was certainly a feeling I got from them both. I liked how flustered Nio became as their relationship changed, whilst Suou remained calm, certain and overall unflappable. That was, until Nio tried dating. Then we got to see the possessiveness of an alpha mate.

I kept waiting for the drama and angst of Omegaverse but this was simply pure and wholesome. With full consent between the MCs there was lots of lovemaking that was both sexy and sweet. This story was hard to resist for how these guys fell for and treasured each other. It was interesting that this Alpha x Omega pairing was thanks to parental match making and it really did serve to protect the vulnerable Akihiro (omega).

This had some lovely angst from the past and a reincarnation angle that really seemed fated. So much so, with the past connection, finding each other again and loving each other so much, it makes no sense that they aren’t fated mates. What more does it take than a dying promise to find you again, dreaming about you your whole life, finding you and falling madly in love to be a FM? Crazy.. Other than that, I loved this.

I liked the story very much. It focused on the ties of friendship that could overcome so much. Shun was a strong omega in an Omegaverse world where omega’s had no rights if they weren’t paired and very little to no apparent value beyond breeding an alpha. His best friends Kiyohisa and Haruto were alphas and the three had a strong friendship in school. However, in that time Shun fell in love with Kiyohisa and the strong entrepreneur loved him in return, admiring the strength and vulnerabilities of his little omega. Haruto meanwhile, had fallen in love with Kiyohisa but he knew his friends feelings and that his love would never be more than a fantasy. After graduation, Haruto’s mother (a top genetic researcher) arranged his marriage to Shun, going so far as to lock them in a child breeding room when both refused. Luckily for the in love couple, Haruto was able to alert Kiyohisa who rescued Shun, bonding and marking him before stealing him away from the machinations of Haruto’s mother. This wasn’t the end though. I felt a little sorry for Haruto, but the other 2 were very much in love and you could already tell that this was not the kind of relationship that would work as a 3P. When Shun was kidnapped again and forced into a heat while locked with Haruto, the story took a bit of a sad turn for me. Even though Kiyohisa was able to be the one to impregnate Shun, I found it really sad that Shun was locked up for the 9 months of his pregnancy separated from Kiyohisa (apart from the occasional visit). That was special time in a couples life they can never regain. Then, trying to steal the baby was awful. I am glad Haruto changed his mind and the bonded family went on the run while Haruto worked to bring down his mother’s activities. Again, Shun was the kind and strong one sustaining the friendship before all else. When they reunited at the end, I got the feeling that Haruto may have to wait for the baby to grow up for his HEA. It would make sense for the child of the two people he cares about most in the world would fill the loneliness in his heart and one day be his partner. Tip: Kiyohisa fringe/bangs parts to the left when looking at him and he has darker eyes. Haruto hair parts to the right and he has lighter eyes.

: Trigger warning: Non consent Cheolwoo was enjoying being a tourist until he lost his travel bag and inhibitors. Direly in need of suppressants he took a job and met Dylan, local farmer, milkman, giant musclebound guy. Sharing a thank you dinner at Cheolwoo’s house they are enjoying their time when Cheolwoo’s heat snuck up. With no inhibitors present, Dylan was unable to make himself leave and pounced on the shy, smaller omega. Only after both came did some sanity restore. Both guys were flustered. Dylan had found Cheolwoo’s bag and went to retrieve it, leaving the omega with a warning to lay low. For some reason Cheolwoo ignored the advice and went to the warehouse near his work, seeking suppressants but he collapsed on the floor unable to reach them. Dylan meanwhile, had a moral dilemma and decided to pretend he hadn’t found the bag yet because he wanted to keep Cheolwoo to himself for longer. Realising Cheolwoo may be in danger when he returned to the empty house, Dylan sprinted to the rescue, passing other alphas seeking the owner of the omega in heat pheromones. Will he be too late and regret not bringing Cheolwoo’s bag? This story was very fast paced and there was definite non consent, however the pair ended up falling for each other. For the short story that it was, this packed some intense scenes in a short space of time.

Yoshihiko was an alpha of no great distinction with a bit of an inferiority complex. When he caught the attention of tall delinquent omega Momo, he was shocked to find himself under determined pursuit in the sweetest way. This was a really lovely Omegaverse story, with full consent, plump, thick peaches and an alpha with a soft spot for an innocent delinquent. I could happily read a few more chapters on these guys.
