Such a perfect pair! The somewhat gloomy and intelligent Nanase, who has secretly loved his best friend for 5 years. And ofc, Hina, the object of his affections and a national treasure level idiot who's a delinquent but isn't scary. I can totally understand why Nanase loves Hina even though he is clueless. He’s just adorable. Adorably clueless, adorably honest and genuine, adorably adorable. Beautiful art, a fun storyline and the support of the friends was a nice bonus, this manga ticked all my boxes.

Spin off from Ushiro no Seki no Katou-kun The softly plump 3rd year student, Satou-kun was fluffy of body and heart. He falls for the cynical delinquent 2nd year student from a different school, Mimasaka-kun. The story was very cute, mostly due to Satou and his cheerful attitude. The thing was, it became evident soon enough, that his plump little frame was the result of eating to comfort the negative feelings imparted by his ex. And once I knew that, I wanted him to take his power back, and lose that weight. As cute as he was, he wasn’t happy. And I liked the way the story managed that tricky issue while having the MCs fall for each other. *Story is complete despite not being marked.

Bookworm, Chitose Yuzumoto gets a surprise confession from his classmate Riku Hidaka, the ex-captain of the baseball team! Although shocked, Chitose agrees to be Riku’s boyfriend for 2 weeks of making memories and hanging out together, with no sexual pressure. Naturally, these two nice guys are so cute together. They have some amazing honesty as well as the expected insecurities that hold them back, but this is a HEA story of opposites falling for each other. Very cute, fluffy and wholesome, this is a feel good story not to miss.

Former gang leader of vigilante group GENBU, Takemoto Tetsuji (alpha) is in the midst of rehabilitation and training to be a chef at a small Japanese restaurant. One evening he saves a newbie office worker in sales from being harassed by a workplace client. For the sweet and amiable 20yo Kaneda Takumi (omega), it was like being rescued by a hero from the pages of his childhood, and he fell instantly in love with the tall Tetsuji. However, Tetsuji had trauma regarding omegas and was unable to have sex with them. This lovely story follows the gentle friendship that blossoms between alpha and omega amidst some turbulence from the past and the crazy influence of pheromones. I loved how Takumi valued the kindness in the scarred and rather intimidating looking Tetsuji. The art was also great, adding to the whole awesome Omegaverse package.

The artwork in this is sublime. I loved both Arata and Junta, and their dynamic was so wholesome and healthy yet insanely sexy too. This mangaka is really gifted.

With an absent father due to the demands of work, Himari Uehara is starting his first-year of high school with some serious concerns about waking with his boxers in a mess. But that’s ok, because on his first day at the all boys high school he made friends with the broad shouldered and tall Gaku Asada, who answers his questions and gives him a helping hand figuring out how to take care of things. The friendship between the MCs is more intimate than most friends, but it’s also quite obvious that they have some very honest and open discourse that is really healthy. This was a lovely story, I really thought both boys were adorable.

3 short stories (2 with characters we meet from the 1st story), all with some very possessive and jealous types of partners. They had that fast pace often a hallmark of oneshots, but they were still fun reads and had some hot, sexy moments too. From childhood friends to a pretty faced monster to med students at a mixer, these are a good choice if you like a touch of the bad boy in your stories.

A delightfully fluffy story about a household of 6 males and their new live in housekeeper. While the whole family were integral to the charm of this manga, it really was the capable and caring “mom” Kano, and the oldest brother, the “tsun tsun” Kaname, who were the focus of all the fluffy romantic feelings. Pretty artwork and some really likeable characters make this a must read shounen ai.

More of this wonderful couple and their family. This time there is a holiday to Hawaii and someone from Soji’s past sets the grandpa in a spin. Cute as can be and delightfully wholesome.
