I liked it. No explicit scenes but the kissing was super hot.

3.8 stars. not bad and the art was nice. but lots of melodrama push and pull between the leads

overly simplistic mc transmigrates after being killed by a stalker. she is born as a princess in a world where only men possess magical powers and women are treated as objects. she flatters and curries favour with her father the king and her brothers the princes, in that way she miraculously gains their love -.- i mean im not sure how to think about one of her brothers treating her as a dog and constantly making her play fetch = love. also what mc does isn't novel, its how women in the past have survived in a male dominant society, but you are telling me none of the other numerous princesses were able to strive for favour like mc? you're telling me that the king is cruel and coldhearted enough to kill his daughters for small infarctions but ends up spoiling and loving mc just because she acts adorable to him? people who are that coldhearted can spoil their pets, but if you step out of line, they still won't spare you, how can it be genuine selfless love, how can they change their minds easily about sexism and gender inequality. its super unrealistic. its also frustrating that when mc finally gains saint powers, its just all support skills. her brothers still able spin her round in the air willy nilly while mc screams her head off in fear. i just finished it to finish it.

LOVE. esp love how the artist includes the little chibi side characters/minions in the background, SO CUTE. no harem, no fanservice. he does have one female subordinate who worships him but it's barely played into much. mc is a "dungeon baby" ie a human that was born in the labyrinths/gyser, they possess superhuman strength and powers. humanity was at war with Gyser but then they "won" the war and Gyser released all the humans back to the surface. (spoiler: later on revealed it was because the monsters realised humans born in the deeper levels were blessed with powers from gyser, they were afraid humans would gain too much power hence decided to send them back to surface). Gyser consists of 12 levels (as far as we know now) and monsters get more powerful the deeper you go (and also they will get level penalty if they leave their level ie become weaker), each level has multiple labyrinths with "owners" who can spawn monsters by using dawn gems (can mine from the rocks or get when killing monster). mc was born in the 12th level, grew up a slave to the labyrinth owner, he leaves the dungeon when the war ends, and gets adopted by a family. dungeon babies are usually obsessed with the labyrinth and often go back (only to the top few levels), but mc stays away most of his life, until he accepts a job in order to make money for his adopted sister's wedding. during this, he got selected to be the new owner of the Naga Labyrinth. He initially accepts to make more down gems but when he gains subordinates he feels responsible to protect them hence works hard to upgrade the labyrinth and summon more guards/soldiers. One of them is a Hero Class Naga Maid Dominique who is basically MC's right hand woman. mc also joins some dungeon baby mercenary group to learn more about the dungeon as he has been away from many years, the leader know hes lvl 12 but keeps secret for him, also learns about the dungeon association set up by the country who is regulating hunters, reduced death toll by 50% but the leader seems arrogant. MC's labyrinth is attacked by a neighbouring Labyrinth owner, the Scaly Dragon King. The Scaly dragon king sends a spy, an elf named Rikshasha, but she double crossed him after meeting mc. MC also defeats a subordinate of the scaly dragon king called Drakkan who is part dragon hence invulnerable hide except one weak spot that mc exploits (mc has ability to see weaknesses when fighting). mc also buys a parasite from the Black Merchant Group, which he ingests (it gives him more attack power and also enhance his ability to see weaknesses and can also detect down gems). mc wins the battle with the scaly dragon king (he almost dies but the dungeon upgrade completed and restored him to full health). he then forms an alliance with the the Gluttony labyrinth (the owner Useo is basically a zainv who hates leaving her house and only wants to eat lol, she's a super cute chibi). he also becomes a aristrocrat aka a Baron - the merchants delivered the ring to him, not sure who decides who is an aristocrat, but the ring grants him dominance power over others but it can be resisted of course. mc attends the auction of the black merchants where he purchases a dungeon baby to protect her, due to her being non-responsive he decides to keep her in the labyrinth first until she can socialise- she later on becomes the owner of another labyrinth by accident, this labyrinth is special in that it is combat weak but have lots of support skills like Battle fever that boosts attack in expense of defence, and illusion skill that make people trapped in dream. he also got basically forced to buy a vampire (the vampire insisted on being his slave so mc purchased her for 1 dawn gem.. turns out she was the slave of Anatolius from lvl 11 who somehow freed her cause he was unable to supply her blood, she picked mc cause his blood is useful to her. now that the scaly dragon king is dead, the balance between the 9th floor labyrinths are broken, the Labyrinth of the Dead's owner, Valicius decides to attack, he sends a force to the Gluttony labyrinth where Useo meets him halfway, while mc ambushes Valicius. Valicius had used necromancy on the Rikshasha's family (she was an elven princess, but their labyrinth fell hence they became Fallen but her brother the prince and her guard and the court magician are super powerful), but through the use of the illusion/dream skill they managed to wake them up and they protect rikshasha and help mc defeat Valicus. As Valicus is undead, he cannot really die, mc gives him to the black merchant group instead, who interfere with Valicus' plan to transfer his soul to another undead body and rewrite the coordinates to a living body instead, Valicus wakes up in the body as Worker Naga in mc's labyrinth LOL - i am obsessed with his plot line ahahah super funny and i cant hate him anymore cause he's so chibi and cute. he volunteered to be in charge of the cemetery in order to absorb the energy there for his necromancy skills, but alas a pink worker naga falls for his "work ethic" and volunteers to help him much to his frustration LOL. i think mc might be on to him tho cause he did strongly goad him into making a chimera horse for mc's new Dullahan knight by insulting "Valicus" in front of him saying there was no way he can make a chimera horse. Anyway back to mc's story, mc forms alliance with the Hammer and Anvil labyrinth who consists of goblins (their owner is a dwarf tho, so their dungeon specialise in mining and making weapons to trade with the other floors). The other dungeon owners are wary of him but they learn of a potential invasion of lvl 9 by lvl 10 floor, hence was to form a temporary truce. mc learns the real reason from the merchants, basically cause anatolius (the vamp's former master) visited mc after he defeated the scaly dragon and became an aristocrat (he went and told mc to grow strong and be his pawn.. much to mc's anger bt he was too powerful so mc could not retaliate) so his enemies on lvl 10 assumed mc was sponsored by anatolius, they hate anatolius so they wanna attack mc. mc makes deal with merchants to smuggle him to lvl 10 so he can scout his enemies. mc goes to lvl 10 with identity as bodyguard for the merchant there, he soon finds out the other bodyguards are dungeon babies like him but they failed to escape hence they get called "Failures", mc opens portal to surface for them to show them what the surface looks like. the Failures are superhuman powerful despite looking like normal humans, this is because they learnt to tap into Mana, they offer to teach mc (for some reason the merchants wanted this to happen too?). when trying to activate mc's mana, they realise that mc already have open mana channels, meaning he must have used mana before, mc lost his memory when he was child so he dont rmb, they hypnotise him to recall the memory. Flashback plot: mc was born in the Sunken Sea (a human farm), he was then sold to the Spider Duke, where he meets humans from the surface for the first time. They were varied, emotional, warm and took care of him as in their eyes he was a child. Except there was one crazy journalist Kim Jinwoo who in desperation to survive started experimenting with Down Gems, he tried ingesting a small amount and gain powers but with the cost of ++ pain and damaging his body and ++ emotional. he titrates the dose by secretly mixing it in food and feeing other human slaves, killing a couple in the process, when mc comes, he finds out that mc can ingest large quantities without much side effects. the human-labyrinth war ends, humans promised freedom but instead they are used as meat shields in the war between two labyrinth owners in the 11th floor. the journalist lets everyone ingest small quantities of down gems to prepare, and each have one small down gem as suicide pills. most people die anyway, either by the monsters or by ingesting the pill for a last burst of powers to save others. in the end only mc and the journalist survive (the journalist basically throws everyone under the bus to survive under some delusional thought he is the protagonist), they are hunted by one of the team who fused with a monster, the journalist realised he will die but uses his skill to brainwash mc to survive while stuffing a high grade down gem into mc's open wound. normally mc would die from the pain but due to the brainwashing mc manages to survive, but has instructions to head to surface and kill everyone, forget all the bad memories, and take on the journalist's name as his own. during this, mc in real life goes berserk, acting on the commands the journalist gives him, luckily the leader of the bodyguards manage to make mc forget everything again, at the cost of his other eye (but he also has a parasite so can "see" down gems so can navigate to some extent). mc manages to sense mana by ingesting a small down gem. they continue to journey and visit King Horace who is super rich as his labyrinth is in a massive mine, he is super dumb but unkillable. in the meantime, the pink naga worker seems to be about to discover Valicus' secret.
