Tsukuritai Onna to Tabetai Onna
Beautiful, amazing, wholesome. I am so happy that I saw a video talking about this manga, and that I decided to check it out. I love the food, but I also love their relationship. I love that they talk about life in general, and that we see some of their conflict with day to day life. Like when Nomoto say's she made her lunch, and that dude was like you'd make a good wife+mother, which has nothing to do with her love for cooking. And when Kasuga was at the restaurant and the man gave her a smaller rice portion, or when that guy told her about the beer with potstickers. And just overall frustrations with little things in life. I love that they show that, and how fucking sweet they are!! Edit bc Vol. 2 just got updated. I still love it and I do like the way they're both processing their feelings towards each other. Like Nomoto-san was like, "Yeah, I'm gay for Kasuga-san, and that's okay" and can I just say, I love that. Maybe it's because she's an adult, but she was so mature and the way she processed it, despite remembering all the things she'd been told growing up, she was still like "it is okay for me to feel these things" because it is. I also really like how her romantic attraction for Kasuga-san doesn't become the main highlight like I've seen in other romance manga i.e. when the person realized they have a crush and things get really awkward until they ignore said crush and are later forced to confess etc, not a fan of that, so this is really refreshing. And can I just say, Kasuga-san beginning to realize her feelings towards Nomoto-san is so wholesome. Because we don't always suddenly realize that we like a person, and so I really love the author's take on both women realizing their feelings. Can't wait for Vol. 3!
