one of the more unique plots when it comes to yaoi, even the gender bender element in here is interesting to watch it play out. some angst in the middle and much politics at play but ultimately a happy ending

FL, Edna is the fallen Prince Eden who lived all of her childhood years disgusting as the opposite sex to survive under the hands of the tyrannical and sadistic king. Despite all, the royal family fell and Edna managed to escape and survive with hope of reclaiming back what was lost. FL met ML as a replacement in an arranged marriage when the original bride, daughter of a count or duke refused to the marriage as ML was a commoner who was later given the title of a noble, earned for this fierce and bloodthirsty reputation after winning in battles. FL and ML get married despite the sham as ML takes an interest in the mysterious FL who claims to be a maid yet, has an abundance of knowledge which would say otherwise. FL is a strong, knowledgeable and capable person. She is kind and lends a hand to those in need. She is fair in dealing punishments and setting rules to be followed. Effortlessly, she gains the trust and respect of everyone she comes across. Even the ML, impressed by her, falls in love with her. There is no unnecessary drama in the romance department between the MCs, though political complications do happen and blood gets shed. Eventually, FL’s hidden identity is discovered but welcomed. The scenes where FL displays her prowess like the Prince she was who conquered battles is truly amazing. FL and ML end up having 3 children but we mainly only see the firstborn son, Alex in here. It’s is just so satisfying watching the FL being such a strong leader, inspiring her people and fear to those who oppose her. 103 chapters went by like a breeze, story and plot is so easy to follow and so intriguing to keep following. You just look forward to what’s going to happen next. Awesome read!

FL is an illegitimate daughter born between a noble duke and servant. She’s said to be as beautiful as a gem and even after being disguised as a boy, people still suspect her identity for she’s said to be too pretty to be a real boy. In a ploy to gain stable the standing of House Bane, the Duchess tracks down the FL and takes her in to disguise her as the younger brother of her son. The Duchess’ son has a weak constitution and because of that, the question of who will inherit as the heir becomes a question that shakes the stability of the House Bane. FL is told to pretend to be a boy under her new name, ‘Camellius’ and live as the second son of House Bane to show that should anything happen to the sickly first son, House Bane still has another healthy heir. FL’s father is a bad man, initially it seemed he was unaware of FL’s real identity being a girl from their first encounter but that turned out to be false as the story shows conversation between the Duke and Duchess discussing their plans for the FL and the future of House Bane. FL has met ML (Claude) at this point and it’s clear that through the brief encounters between the two, ML has taken a fascination to FL. As of chapter 10, four years has passed since FL was taken away from her mother and into House Bane where she is now 16, and quite adapted to her role of ‘Camellius’. Woah so much stuff happened, but end of chapter 65, Claude finally finds out Camelius is a woman and not a man. Dun dun duuuunnnnn
