Scent of a Witch

Complete | A Reu | 2017 released

one of the more unique plots when it comes to yaoi, even the gender bender element in here is interesting to watch it play out. some angst in the middle and much politics at play but ultimately a happy ending

I was Reborn as the Villainess' Father and I Need XXX to Survive!?

Ongoing | cocoon production | 2000 released

Stopped at chapter 53. Plot has been okay so far but nothing spectacular. It’s kinda cringy at times which how sappy into the romance it gets. Two kings and kingdoms on the verge of war, a prophecy said to bring about the child of ruins. Not sure if I will continue the story since it’s ongoing and tbh, the shallow plot does little to titillate. I don’t feel a real connection with the main couple despite all that’s been done to bring them closer. The politics are somewhat interesting but again, the cringe moments really takes you out of the immersion of the story, trying to hold back winces.

The Color of the Night

Ongoing | Gwendolyn,Make | 2022 released

Dropped at chapter 42. There’s a lot of smut, and the relationship revolves around S&M nature of the two MLs. Personally I just find there to be no buildup of chemistry between the two, just a lot of sex and dodging around keeping a secret relationship from everyone since they’re prominent political figures of the country in the story. There is a timeskip that happens, for four years before finally admitting that they are in love with each other but still keeping a semi-secret relationship still. I just personally find the whole relationship to be based off of sex since the story doesn’t really build any chemistry into why they even fell in love other than having sex with each other regularly.
