Side stories contain the uke’s past life which showed that the village he was living in was suffering from misfortune (bad harvest etc) and because he was chosen as the next so-called vessel to receive misfortune which a.k.a. just means being raped by the villagers like all the previously unwed women who all died after awhile. Really fucked up. The main story however, that is set in present time does not contain any rape.
