Ch. 123 | Ch.1-28 rereading --- - Child protagonist - father-daughter relationship --- I remember reading this a long time ago and I must state. It's a classic, I can read this forever. The plot is well written and from what I remember it did not feel rushed or unnecessary. I liked seeing the MC and the Duke grow together as a family. They were helping each other heal. This was a beautiful mix between comedy and tragedy. Hearing their back stories and seeing how they grew to not follow what would be expected of someone in that position, was beautiful. But I will not spoil any longer so, I can relive this again. Main Characters: Leonia Boleoti • Isekai'd into this novel and fought to survive. She knew this was a novel she read, once she met the Duke. Hoping to get a job and live a good life after escaping the Orphanage. She never expected the body she was in was the daughter of the duke's cousin. Who disappeared/died after escaping with her lover, a knight, the family would not accept. • When the Duke adopted her she was 7 years old Philio Boleoti • The Nothern Duke • #1 husband material Supporting Characters Viscount Rupert Rikos • Youngest son of the Rikos family. • Decided to work for the Duke because the pay was better. Dame Levipath Meleis • A knight of the Boleoti Order The Boleoti Household | Ch.1 Philio Boleoti is the Nothern Duke who is considered number 1 in terms of husband material. He is known for his looks and savageness. The Glasdigo Order of Knights protects the North. Servered Duke Boleoti for years. The Boleoti's have always been powerful even against the imperial family. The main reason is because the Boleoti family have "The Beast's Fang", it's neither aura or magic. Adoption Day | Ch.1-2 After hearing his friend Count Carnis Rinne go on and on about his children. How happy he was about the little moments he had and watching them grow. But most importantly how he want Philio to have a child too so he could understand this feeling. This caused Philio to go around and looks for a child at different orphanage but every child kept crying once they met with his eyes. That was until he met, the MC, "Nia". She stood in front of him and didn't cry. Holding her head up strong while looking beaten in tattered. Philio was intrigued, her eyes respond to him, because eyes only respond to family. (A clear explanation will be given in the future when he explains it) He agrees Nia is not a befitting name for her and gives her the name Leonia Boleoti. ︎ The "Roaring" Philio, "Lion" Leonia The clear explanation • The Duke thought the glow in the MC eyes when they first met was out of control mana but it was actually The Beast's Fang. It is how the Boleoti family confirms their bloodline. (Ch.11) The gold light in her eyes was the Beast's Fang. Young children of the Boleoti family don't know how to control their fangs but they are able to still bear them to protect themselves. The 2nd time the Duke looked at the MC eyes he was resonating with her. Which proves she is a Boleoti. (Ch.12) Cleaning up the Orphanage | Ch.2-3 After the Duke told her why he was adopting her. She made a request, to get back at the staff and orphanage head for what they did to the other kids and her. But not Miss Connie • Their Crimes: 1. Embezzling Funds 2. Abusing kids 3. Selling children to brothel's When the duke asked if he should kill them, she says to make them beg for a quick death. The Duke complies and tells his secretary to handel it. When she finds out the secretary, Rupert Rikos, will handel things she starts listing painful ways to torture the staff and head of orphanage. Which makes the secretary question if she really isn't the Duke child. One the way back to the dukedom, the knight, Dame Levipath Meleis asked the Duke if he would be willing to stay at an inn for the MC sake. Since it would take a huge toll for a child in her state to take the full trip back. He agrees and as the MC tries to take a step out she falls which cause the Duke to take a kneel. This shocked Dame Levipath. The Duke asked Dame Levipath to take care of the MC and as she washed her up she was horrified at what she saw. The MC body was malnourished and full of wounds. Noticing that Dame Levipath had froze for a bit the MC tells her about the abuse she suffered. • The Abuse 1. Beating were consistent 2. Never had time for old wounds to heal After gettingher dressed and the MC had her meal with the Duke. Dame Levipath told the Duke about how the abuse the MC suffered. After hearing about it the Duke told Dame Levipath to being those who hurt the kids to him so he can torture them himself. Finally Home | Ch.5 After the reached the estate the head butler, Cara, greets them. Cara states that a child isn't a pet. The Duke said he understood. Their was talks if the MC really wasn't his child. Black hair only runs in the Boleoti family. Cleaning up the Orphanage pt.2 |Ch.7-8 After the knight finished their job at the Orphanage, they brought those who committed crimes against the children. Miss Connie and the kids "sadly died in a fire, otherwise they would have brought them to the Boleoti's land". The only survivors were those committed crimes and today they will meet the fate. Philio called for the MC to decide their fate. The staff and head of orphanage kept calling out to her for leniency. The head of orphanage, who gave MC the name Nia tried reminiscing about her arrival at the Orphanage. Asking if she remembers her first day there, claiming it was a hot summer day. The Duke brought them to her before he "helped" them, seeing if maybe she wanted to help at least one of them. But she sees no need for that as they are all people deserving of a long death. She takes off her shoe in a happy manner and taps each their head. Saying the crimes they committed one by one out loud. Even correcting the Dean on the day she arrived. Which was in the fall. After that she pulls out a music box and plays a ~Requiem~ (I loved this chapter, 8, so much.) She told them to rot in hell or something. The Duke gave her a candy for being a Boleoti and the staff praised her. Rupert on the other hand felt like he was the strange one since everyone was happy for her. (Which was hilarious. They really got him second guessing himself, ch.9.) The MC states again that the Duke can not kill them quick. She suggested Tying their foots together and tossing them off a cliff. So, they bounce up and down till the rope snaps. The MC Orgins | Ch.9 This was brought up earlier, Ch.1, when Rupert believed they looked to similar. Now, Ch.9, he wonders if she is the child of the Duke's cousin. But since the MC acts more like the Duke then his cousin, Regina. Rupert is confused. Rupert investigated the incident after it happened but Cara pointed out he never found a body. They are assuming Regina and the knight escaped and had the MC. Rupert brings this up to the Duke and believes it's best for the MC to know her mother and let everyone else know too. But the Duke points out that the MC would have a tough life if she was known as the child who mother ran away with a knight. Rather then being known as the duke's illegitimate child. Her life would be better being known as illegitimate then as Regina's child and Rupert agrees with that. The Duke after a final confirmation tells the MC that she is most likely his niece and that Regina is her mother. They bond over the fact that the MC is not like Regina and more like the Duke, hinting at the fact that Regina was living without thinking bad things could happen. The Duke tells the MC that she is most likely his older cousin, Regina's, daughter. Which would make her his niece. (Ch.12) After hearing all this information the Duke told the MC to check with Cara to ask if it was true. Cara also agrees that Regina lacked sense. (

Then it ended with them finding another traveler and showing them the record the FL left behind.
