Sensuishi To Kurage
Like someone scattering a box of childhood souvenirs onto a photo album going backwards. The chrysalis is obviously a metaphor for the relationship, but it's hard to parse the "story" of that relationship without rereading. I think, at the risk of forcing my own interpretation, that the story moves backwards in time from the first panel ("this brings back memories"), and that it's ultimately a tragedy ("but it died right after that"), but I'm curious what others make of it. An understated brainteaser, with gorgeous art that only manga and the descendants of the Year 27 can achieve.
Uchuu no Mozuku
Harada does tentacle porn, which actually means she overexplains the trope and develops a hilarious reason for why we might be developing tentacle creatures and what the tentacle creatures get out of it. Not quite a subversion and not quit the trope proper, though there is plenty of sounding and orgasm denial and all the fun bits that come with tentacle sex. My favorite part might be the doctor who looks young but is actually 80 with multiple plastic surgeries and dentures. An odd, fun oneshot that's just a tad bit disgusting.
