yon's manga / #bottom is frustratingly naive(4)

slow build and frustratingly slow main character. parts of it is cute, but honestly gets boring. also indulges a bit too much in the bottom is adorable innocent and top is possessive dude who is relentless when he fucks tropes… boring.

finished the series in korean on tkor. the size difference and the bottom looking like a high schooler really doesn't do it for me, including how the bottom just acts like sex is some mysterious adult act that he's perpetually confused by. also i'm not a fan of the secondary couple bottom - he just comes off way too rape-y to be a character i'd root for with a top that i like much better.

while the art is amazing, i honestly cannot get over how much i dislike the main couple. the seme is an abusive asshole who is a rapist and not in anyway close to being a “sex god” like his bj career makes him out to be, and the uke is just so annoying and dumb. it’s kind of infuriating how naive and stupid he’s made out to be. he is a man stuck in a world of delusion and instead of anyone gently leading him to the truth, he’s “rewarded” with the love of some asshole. goddamn the art tho. also the side pairing is kinda cute

got up to chapter 50 or some ridiculous number and i honestly can't really stand to continue. going week by week i forget the characters and the plot, that's how uninterested i am. the top seems like an obsessed asshole, the bottom seems like a painfully naive child. don't care to continue, but maybe revisit once it's complete and quickly skim the rest of the series?
