I'm in love with sensei's distinctive art-style, the so called neo-'80s / neoclassic style! As a fan of old BL, I love the vibe of sensei's stories! And this one in particular seems to have also an interesting plot!

"If you really feel like spoiling someone, then I'm the best choice". «✿✿» A sweet gem! Apart from being one of those youth-love stories that I always love to read, one aspect that I really liked is the communication between the characters and their internal thoughts: the way they communicated, how they thought / talked about things. I appreciated how towards the end they finally said everthing they wanted to say, be it between the brothers themselves or with they respective lovers! Actually, I wanted to see more of the younger couple that was so cute too, but overall I'm very satisfied! > High-schooler turning uni student Hijiri x Middle-schooler turning High-schooler Sachio (Hijiri's friend's little brother) > High-schooler turning uni student Tomura (Hijiri's friend and Sachio's older brother) x Uni student Hikaru (Hijiri's older brother)

Ido Gihou's unique art-style was perfect for this story! This is not a random BDSM BL. It's a story that takes on that theme from a different perspective and it's actually focused more on the psychological then physical aspect of it. Contrary to many superficial approaches found in other stories, here BDSM is explored on a deeper layer and, more in general, it's about how a relationship is affected by a NCSA (Speaking of which, it touches the fact that some may enjoy a NCSA withouth having some sort of dramatic reason for it). That's what makes it an interesting reading! > In this story, the characters realize that, even if they're not on the same page, what is important is that they feel the same...that they want to stay together! And that's all that matters! As for the rest, from there on they will try to find their own common ground by meeting half-way and communicating properly. In ch. 6.5, that's a good start for that! I think they'll be ok! > On a side note, I wanted to add that there's this thing about most of this author's stories that I appreciate and that's how the focus is on the relationship and the communication (and it can be also its lack or its different ways) between the characters and especially their internal chain of thoughts / reflections, which at times can even be quite complex. It's like what stands in the background or around them fades away...you are pulled into the characters minds. And then there are those moments usually towards the end when they blurt all their thoughts out, laying them bare and that's simply beautiful! I really like this aspect! Reading these stories one understands how important communication is!

☚୧୨☛ When a story gives me that exciting, breathtaking feeling while reading, I simply know it's a great one! And that was definitely the case with "Hishakaishindo": I loved every bit of it so much! I loved the characters, their interaction, the general dynamic of the story...simply EVERYTHING! Enjo really became one of my fav mangaka in no time! Their stories have so many of my top fav elements, they're totally my thing, and the art-style is beautiful...absolutely a must-read author!
