Maria-sama Ga Miteru
An essential in GL category! > The relationships and feelings mostly are platonic / ambiguous and there aren't any kiss scenes (apart from the situation of one of the characters, Satou Sei - Rosa Gigantea, who had been in an actual lesbian relationship before, as we see in the story), so it feels more like GL subtext. Notwithstanding, "Maria-sama ga Miteru", especially the original novel series, is regarded as one of the most prominent works of the GL panorama. And it's a must-read story indeed! [Baka-Updates] The setting is Lillian Academy, a private Catholic all-girls school where the student council is known as the Yamayurikai (Mountain Lily Council) and younger students are taken under the wing of older students through a system known as the "soeur system" ("soeur" is French for "sister"). The main character, Yumi, who is basically a nobody, suddenly finds herself interacting with the members of the Yamayurikai and their soeurs, most notably her crush, the talented, beautiful, and withdrawn Sachiko... mangaupdates.com / series.html?id=253 - 9 Volumes (Complete) // Dropped... > Last available here: vol. 5 ch. 35 (Valentine's Day part) Based on the long light-novel series "Maria-sama ga Miteru" - novelupdates.com / series / maria-sama-ga-miteru / The novel was adapted to Anime and Live-action Movie as well: gogoanime.nl / anime / maria-watches-over-us-nk7m gogoanime.nl / anime / maria-watches-over-us-printemps-ol75 gogoanime.nl / anime / maria-watches-over-us-3rd-pm7q gogoanime.nl / anime / maria-watches-over-us-season-4-mj78 veoh.com / watch / v120847655S3pWmkrN

️Great story by Ikeda Riyoko that somehow is regrettably underrated and a bit forgotten as well, when in actuality it's a masterpiece! A coming-of-age gem! It's sad but beautiful. Deep and emotional. Especially for those who like classics and melodrama, this is a must-read! I like both manga and anime. Apart from some differences between them (with some added and|or expanded scenes, also rendered in a more melodramatic way, and especially differences regarding the final tragic events in the last chapters and the ending itself, which, on the contrary, were toned down a bit respect to the manga and the biggest difference would be Kaoru’s ending, which isn’t a tragic one in the anime), I think they are both great. About the anime, I have to say that I personally was particularly impressed by it. It's one of my favourites! It's really well-done and especially visually is well crafted: I loved all the details, all the different lights and colors, and framing. All the different background scenes like the beautiful ever-changing views of the sea and sunset, and the city's lights at night, the rainy scenes and all the general scholastic atmosphere! I loved every little detail and the music as well! Each episode was great. And it makes me feel so nostalgic, because there aren't anime like this anymore! I actually had already watched it long ago, but I didn't read the manga back then. So, now I'm so glad to have watched it again and to have finally read the manga as well! I totally recommend both anime and manga.️ > Note: It includes both lesbian and straight elements. And it includes heavy issues. Anime: gogoanime.nl / anime / dear-brother-147v

Isekai Picnic
Well, the theme|plot is not my thing at all! I honestly don't like it. So, if it was only for that, I wouldn't bother to read this story. Better said, I'd totally avoid it! BUT, I really like Sorawo and Toriko!! I really like them together, so I absolutely want to see how things will go till the end! Based on Novel // Adapted to Anime
Legend of Nereid
«☘୧୨☘» Well, I must admit that the ending left me a bit disappointed...like, it left me hanging and wanting more! Especially with Matia and the general's romantic outcome not being that satisfactory, definitely bittersweet in its open ending...I definitely needed to see what would happen to their relationship in the future, especially since the general doesn't know that Matia in truth didn't lose her memories for real! And the author could have also added a bit more to show what happened afterwards, in general and to the other characters as well. After all, they were in the midst of the dorians-vs-atticans war!! Instead, it felt like it ended just like that. So, while I was eager to read one volume after another, the ending gave me mixed feelings. That's why I gave it 4 stars in the end. Still, I can't condemn the whole story because of that, as it was really good and I still loved it! It still was a great story! An intense and engrossing story that, like I said, made me rush into reading to see how it would continue. «☘☘» p.s. About prince Tyon and his bodyguard Lamodeos' relationship...well, it was complicated, especially considering what was revealed to the reader along the story (Spoiler -- they're half-brothers), but it was definitely a good and interesting bl subplot. And actually not ambiguous as there were several light-kiss scenes! Anyway, be it whatever kind of bond one wants to intend it as, for me it was bl subplot in all and all. Yeah, personally, I saw it as that and I loved it! And, as for them, I was more than satisfied and happy in the end (although, being the greedy reader that I am, I would be lying if I said I didn't want to see a bit more of them as well hehe). #2000s manhwa, teen protagonist, noble general, prince, master x servant, bodyguard, europe (greece)
