Usotsuki wa Shinshi no Hajimari
1st-year Uni Student x 37 y.o. Professor // American x American (WASP) // Straight Uke x Married Gay Seme ☚୧୨☛ Matsuo Marta's masterpiece - A must-read, unique quirky BL! It's comical in an odd way and, in contrast, underneath it lies a bittersweet realism, but at the same time it's cool and captivating! Somehow, the characters are charismatic in their own way and complement each other so well, despite that sort of swinging / intermittent relationship, with moments where they were not aligned, and their not-so-honest face-to-face confrontations. Btw, that was a very interesting dynamic! Anyway, it's a couple that grows on you, pulls you in and makes you interested and curious to see how their relationship will evolve or, better said, if it will evolve at all... > Apparently there's an alternative ending called Quicksand, which replaced the current ch. 8, but it's not scanlated. // Edit: it's now available! Thank you to the person who finally added this here! Thank you so much!! > Extra, Material Boy - 77mh.com / colist_233412.html
Ashita no Nadja
I have to say that I actually prefer the manga version for many aspects, especially the fact that it's more concise, without all the extra / unnecessary stuff. However, in the end I'd still choose the anime version for that one aspect that is the biggest difference between anime and manga and that is the one regarding Francis and the Black Rose and their interactions with Nadja! [SPOILER] In the manga, Francis and the Black Rose are the same person. In the anime, the Black Rose is actually Francis' older twin brother Keith! So, in the manga Keith doesn't exist! Even though we recognize some of his traits and actions in Francis, including almost all of his encounters with Nadja, for me the Black Rose will always be Keith! I loved him and I enjoyed all his interactions with Nadja, so I really have to choose the anime! Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne
I like mahou shoujo together with kaitou trope! Even better if there's an intriguing romance going on! In fact, I liked this story especially for the romantic part: I loved the relationship between Jeanne / Maron and Sinbad / Chiaki! > Manga and anime are a bit different. Not only towards the end, but there're also some differences here and there. For example, in the manga Maron already finds out about Sinbad being Chiaki in ch. 5, while in the anime she finds out later and for this I think I liked it better how it happened in the anime, because in the manga I thought it was a bit soon and it was anticlimatic how she found out. Then, in the anime there're also several fillers episodes that imo were not really necessary. But the main difference would be Fin's story, which was a bit changed in the anime together with the final events. And with the ending itself being different. Anyway, I liked both anime and manga, but I think in the anime they should have reproduced the final part just like it was in the manga. Anime: gogoanime.pro / anime / kamikaze-kaitou-jeanne-lrwq
