Orange Marmalade
Vampire x Human + Slow Romance - I loved Orange Marmalade, not only because I liked the romance, but also the plot and the supportive characters. Well, the story is actually bittersweet, with all the bullying, Ma Ri's attempted suicide, Jae Min's traumatic past etc., but it's also funny, so I enjoyed reading it. Of course, Jung Jae Min and Baek Ma Ri are such an adorable couple: I really liked their interaction, especially at the beginning...it was so funny that embarassing scene on the train (*≧▽≦)ノシ)) [Containing spoilers] But I have to say that I really wanted to punch Jae Min when he called Ma Ri a disgusting blood-sucking monster! Geez, I thought that she was worried for nothing because he'd accept her without a doubt, but the twist of fate wanted that he actually hated vampires because his mother abandoned him to be with a vampire! That changed everything...arghh I didn't expect that! He resented her mother for that, but he fell in love with a vampire himself without knowing! And he found out about Ma Ri being a vampire in such a bad way! I was so sad for our cute Ma Ri, how Jae Min's words hurt her...they got me worried, but then he finally accepted her and it was a happy ending!! I also liked whitie, Han Sihoo: I thought he was cool when he helped Ma Ri and dealt with blondie, Jo Ah Ra, but also when he punched Jae Min and spoke to him (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ The only problem is that at the end his relationship with Chaerin seemed a bit off...I mean, after he treated her like that and after what she did as a consequence (btw she didn't even apologize for what she did to Ma Ri), he ended up with her just like that!? That didn't make any sense. He didn't love her, but it seemed as if he decided to keep that burden! I think he deserved a better ending, as he was a relevant character in the story. And the ending surely seemed rushed...that's why I'm not a fan of time skip. Anyway, overall I think it's a really good story. I really liked it and it was different from other cliché vampire stories. In fact, despite the core is discrimination against vampires, the story conveys a more general message alluding to our society, as it portrays harsh aspects of real life such as bullying, prejudice, racism etc.
Limited Lovers
✿✿ Limited Lovers - After an accident, Karin loses her ability to walk. During her stay at the hospital, she falls in love with the doctor, Okita Teppei. Once she's discharged, she buys Okita's house and makes a deal with him, a sort of "master x servant" type of contract: he can still stay there, but on the condition that he spends two hours with her every day, until she graduates from high school... ➸ I really liked this story! The plot caught my attention and I think it's good, indeed. Also, I found many elements that I love, especially "Age Gap", "Doctor x Patient" and "Slow Romance". I liked both the female lead and the male lead (Okita sensei's so hot, of course I loved him! xD) and I liked them as a couple. I loved their interaction and I was eager to see how their relationship would develop! But the most important aspect is the characters' growth through the story. The message is to keep going, even when life give you a bad surprice! Before the accident, Karin was a typical spoiled rich girl, who wasn't really happy (her parents were always away for work, her "friends" stayed with her out of convenience...), but then, through many hardships as a disabled person, she slowly became a strong woman. She finally found her dream, that of becoming a masseuse, and her place in life. Teppei, who actually had split personality, also developed as a character and it was Karin the one that made his internal clock start clicking again. So, they moved forward together: I loved how at the end Teppei reopened Okita Hospital, left to him by his deceased father, and Karin said that later there'd also be a massage center there. "You heal a person's health and I heal their body". Well, difficulties still awaited for them, but I'm glad they didn't give up! ➸ A heartwarming ending for an inspiring story! TBH, I hoped to see them getting married, maybe with a time skip after her studies overseas! But I think it's already great as it is, so I'm satisfied. 。^‿^。

Slice of Life // Childcare // Single Parent // Family // Cohabitation // Guardian Relationship // Age Gap // Smart & Strong Female Lead // Time Skip ו•× 79 y.o. grandpa had an illegitimate child!? - Daikichi (30): "So mom...that makes her your little sister then! Which makes her my aunt..." haha what a bizarre family circumstance! ➸ Heartwarming slice of life story about a man who decided to raise a little girl on his own. The core of the story is exactly about the hardships a single parent has to go through, raising a kid. The story highlights also other realistic issues about particular family circumstances, such as divorce, adoption, abandonment of a child, reencounter with birth mother etc. In particular, ch 1-24 (adapted into anime and live-action) are about Daikichi raising Rin, putting his life into it and making sacrifices for the little girl. Then after a 10 years time skip, the story takes a certain direction, which not everyone may welcome. Personally, I loved this story, because it's so sweet, especially at the beginning: little Rin was simply too cute! I liked it till the end. I was curious to see the development of their relationship. But at the same time, I'm not completely satisfied with the ending, as I wanted to see more about how their future will be. [Spoiler] It's not incest: Daikichi's gandpa adopted Rin, but he wasn't her father, so Rin and Daikichi aren't related by blood. Well, it may still be unconfortable if you think about the fact that Daikichi, after raising Rin as a daugther for 10 years, becomes the young girl's love interest...and also their huge age gap, but imo the story was pure and sweet till the very end (and actually there isn't even a little kiss)! Also, Daikichi was conflicted about it and said that he never thought about Rin in that way, so I don't think of him as a perv who raised a little girl just to think of her in a sexual way later! He isn't that kind of man! Of course, this is my opinion, but I think that if one takes it for what it is, a fictional story, overall it's good and nice to read.

Tags for myself: Accident, Illegitimate child, Adopted child, Orphan, Dead Family Members, Special Ability, Lie Detector, Lies, Long-Lost Siblings, False Incest, Princely Male Lead, Older Male Younger Female, Love Triangle, Cohabitation, Time Skip, Marriage After an accident in which she nearly dies, Saki wakes up to find that she has a new ability: she can see when people are lying, as they turn black to her eyes! She comes to realize that there are liars all around her... - Having special abilities may be a double-edged sword, as at times it may not be a very convenient power or may even be painful, but stories like this are always cool to read! As expected, I really liked this one! ➸ What Saki, who always hated liars because of her father, comes to realize in the end is like the moral of the story - "People lie...but behind those lies are various reasons. That's why we forgive...and move on. The truth is something that I will find on my own..." - and the author chose an interesting plot to develope the idea. The story results to be well-written. Well, it's only the ending that felt kinda rushed and there was also time skip, which I'm not a fan of, but overall it's a really good story.
Sunshine & Bright Stars Manhua
This is so cute, sweet and funny...I love it!! And the art is good! TBH, what got me hooked at the beginning of ch. 1 was the cool and hot Ah Ming. But I also like Xin Cheng. She is simply too cute and adorable!! They look so good together~♡ I love stories that begin with a chance encounter that later will become something precious ( ✿˘︶˘✿ ) I was so eager to see the development of their relationship! Oh, and let's not forget the cute BL side couple! Super adorable!! ➸ Somehow, it reminds me of Tamen De Gushi, in terms of feelings they give me: both are just so sweet and fluffy!

"You hold my fate in your hands. As well as my happiness and my sadness...I'm sure everything is in your hands..." - Wah~ what an amazing story! The plot is so interesting: I was hooked from the very beginning! I love astronomy themed stories and I really like it when there's a hidden past, which will be revealed slowly, as the story unfolds. (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ Also, I love it when there's a mysterious yet fascinating character that at first seems scary but is actually very sweet and gentle. Minato was actually so cute being so worked up and always caring for Hikaru. In ch. 4.5, when I saw the real Minato, I thought: "They found each other. They are really destined to be together!" And, after reading the whole story, that's true in more than a way 。^‿^。 "Hey, is this, after all, what they call fate?" - "...Hey, if that's so...then without knowing it, we fell in love with each other all over again" Aww, such a dreamy story of a pure, gentle love~♡ I recommend it to all romantic shoujo lovers! ☆彡 I also really liked the words from the author: "I would be very happy if you gain something, no matter how small that might be, from spending your precious time reading this" [Tags for myself] Appearance different from personality // Astronomy // Happy-Go-Lucky Girl // Amnesia|Repressed Memories // Hidden Past // Musician // Affectionate and protective Lover // Time Skip // Great Story-Line Ch. 15.1 Melodramatic Library - Teacher x Student // Plot Twist // Married Couple
