Cherry Blossoms After Winter

Complete | Bamwoo | 2000 released

Personally, I think this story is so overrated, as it's actually so average and insipid...nothing special! It was quite bland: for example, all the settings and backgrounds were very basic and bland (which remains the right word to describe everything about this!). There was nothing eyecatching, really...and it was boring as well, especially the more it dragged on, the more it became unbearable: it got so boring, in the end I read some of the last epilogue chapters just going through them quickly, because I didn't want to waste any more time and I just wanted to get it over with! The characters themselves weren't interesting. Well, we could say that Haebom was a cute kid, but still plain. And Taesung wasn't that likeable for me. At first, it was cute, so I thought that had to be the strong point of the story and the reason why it had such a high rating...but, underneath that cute appearance, there were parts|scenes that left a bitter taste, like those scenes where the seme lost control and the sex was kinda forced on the uke...that added a toxic scent to the relationship! And talking about sex, while at first it took them a while to finally do it [ch. 63 they finally have their first intimate contact // ch. 66 they finally do it], then it became so full of sex scenes that I got tired of it! From the third season, it became repetitive and boring. Seriously, of course I was excited when they finally did it and, after a long wait, maybe the author even tried to make up for it by finally giving us many intimate scenes...but, after a bit, it became too much, because almost every chapter was about them doing it! u.u In the end, I gave it three stars, because it wasn't entirely bad and I still kinda liked it, let's say, but it was more of a 2-stars-story!

Koi wa Ameagari no You ni

Complete | MAYUZUKI Jun | 2000 released

Well, apart from some parts including some with flashbacks that I found boring, I thought it was a great story, but in the end I can't hide that fact that it left me a bit disappointed...I mean, I still liked it, and it was nice and all about the characters' personal growth and getting back on track with their passions, but it just wasn't the kind of story I'm into. Thinking from a rational point of view, their age gap was clearly too big and it was better not to expect anything, but I still liked them together, so yeah, like I said, I can't hide my disappointment with that bittersweet ending. That's why I gave it three stars, although, leaving out my personal tastes, I recognize it deserved 4 stars.

️ Painfully beautiful. So bittersweet! Poignant and melancholic, this story tells about feelings and states of mind that a lot of people have felt and experienced in their lives, so the emotions resonate giving a realistic feel and stick with you. At least, it was like that for me! Anyway, I really liked the manga as well, especially because it expands the story a bit more adding more details, but the anime movie surely has more impact for me, with its stunning visuals and beautiful music, especially the ending theme.

[From Lililicious] Misono and Masami are working women in a long-term relationship; they even live together. Most of the story revolves around their sexual exploits, but there are also some sweet domestic moments. •[️]• Well, generally I'm not much into established relationships, as I like to see how things begin, develop and such, but I think I like this simple story. It must be mostly because I like the type of couple, appearance-wise, and I love 90s stuff! Anyway, it's only the first chapter, so I'd like to read the rest... 1 Volume (Complete)
