୧୨ "A story of fate that begins from a wedding ceremony..." The feels! This is one of those stories which gave me an emotional attachment...a story I'll never forget! It's a great fantasy tale with an amazing plot! The setting is fascinating: there are two countries that have been at war for 200 years; royalty; sub-people|ajins (half-humans, half-animals) and intriguing special power. I liked the concept of the arcana: such a mysterious power, of different types, that goes beyond human imagination and that is the core of the whole story. It was definitely interesting. And till the very end there are some amazing plot twists, which could be somehow predicted through the clues left along the story, but that are still compelling! A story like this didn't fail to catch my attention! Also, I really like stories in which the characters are enemies at first, but then they fall deeply in love with each other...especially in historical setting! I liked all the characters and their growth. In particular, I liked how Caesar was changed by love. At first, he was mean and he bullied Nakaba, but then he became kind and he was so sweet. I was eager to see the development of their relationship. And Nabaka is a type of female lead that I really like. I think she had always been a strong girl, but in the beginning she was discriminated and couldn't do anything about it...then along the story she became truly powerful. I really liked her evolution. Last but not least, I love red-haired characters. >> It would be great if this manga was to be adapted into anime!!

I'm so glad the manga version was translated! As I've watched the movie and read the novel, I absolutely wanted to read the manga as well. > An amazing work by Makoto Shinkai. THE FEELS!! I think everyone has seen the movie (if not watch it right away!), but I want to recommend the novel as well. Personally, after the movie came out, I had the urge to read also the novel! "The story that moved all the girls in the country to tears" - Exactly, prepare the tissues for this story!! This story is harsh as reality...it's like a punch in the teeth! The happiest moment followed by the saddest one! My poor heart was broken into pieces and I cried, but I don't regret reading it: this story is so good that it's worth reading, so when you feel like reading something sad, this is totally recommended! After all, it's based on a true story, so that's why you can feel the taste of the harsh reality: bad things just happen without any warning and sad moments come when you least expect it; your happiness could be taken away at any time. This is such a touching story, you can't remain indifferent after reading it. A story you can't forget and that will make you see things in a different light: I think the most important thing is to understand that every single moment is precious! "While experiencing many sad events, and while getting hurt, the time she spends with him is still one of the most happy moments in her life..." ➸ This sad but beautiful story was also adapted into live-action drama and movie.

Then, there's Yuuto's cellmate, Dick Burnford, a blonde, blue-eyed hot guy who doesn't seem particularly welcoming... » Well, I've always been a fan of this kind of stories (too bad there aren't that many!), especially the ones with prison setting, so this one is totally my cup of tea! And I love it, indeed: I like the plot, the characters, their interaction...everything! What to say, it's Aida Saki we're talking about, after all! Personally, I'm in love with sensei's stories! For those like me who are into this genre, this is a must-read, totally recommended great story! Also, Takashina Yuu's art is so gorgeous!
