Whiz Kid
6 Volumes (Complete) - Raw: 177mh.net / colist_178837.html > Man, this is totally my kind of story and it's by one of my top fav authors!! I really hope that someone will pick it up one day, because from the raws it seems so good! Really love this so much!!
Yuukoku no Moriarty
"Catch me if you can, Mr. Holmes". - I can't even begin to say how obsessed I am with this gem...it totally captivated me! I like stories with this kind of setting, so that's what caught my interest at first. But then the characters are what pulled me in right away! Needless to say, I'm crazy for the intriguing, alluring duo of Sherlock and his nemesis William (Sherliam <3)! That's because I love when there are two equally-interesting opposing figures (especially with one being a cool anti-hero / villain), who are enemies but, leaving aside their positions, they could actually have a deep understanding and share a special bond! While reading stories, I'm always excited to find that type of relationship and interaction! That's what attracts me the most! Anyway, I really love everything about this beautiful story! Anime: gogoanime.pro / anime / moriarty-the-patriot-65j0 gogoanime.pro / anime / moriarty-the-patriot-part-2-jx68 > S2 covers till ch. 55 // Too bad that, in the last episode in the epic scene where they fall into the river, they left out some important lines! shipping.fandom.com / wiki / Sherliam
Vanitas no Shuki
Sorry Jeanne, Domi or whoever, but for me it's Noe x Vanitas all the time!! Anyway, I'm so obsessed with this story! I love it so much <3 > I love the anime as well! - // End of S2 = ch. 55.5 //
Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru
Based on the novel, which was adapted to anime and live-action movie as well. > And to think the author is a BL fan and, based on info from one of her essays on BL, she said that the initial idea for this story was BL with Haiji and Kakeru becoming romantically and sexually involved! Too bad it wasn't developed like that then. I so wanted to see something like that! But I still loved their moments together, especially some interesting ones from the anime! Like what seemed to me an indirect confession by Haiji (that wasn't present in the novel, where Kakeru actually realizes he loves Hanako) when he asked Kakeru if he had a girlfriend and said that the night sky was beautiful...it was like a tsuki ga kirei scene and in fact Haiji is a literature student! Then in the last two episodes there were some lines that were extremely satisfying! In any case, this story is so good. I really like it! > The two adaptations are a bit different. I loved the anime. It's what I liked the most out of all the material. But I really like the manga as well. I hope to read all the 6 volumes!
Battery
Based on homonymous novel by Asano Atsuko that was also adapted to anime - gogoanime.sx / anime / battery-the-animation-9o6q - and Live-action (Movie + Drama) > I liked the anime, but personally I prefer the manga adaptation. It's so much better. I totally love it, also for the art style! And there are more interesting scenes between Gou and Takumi which were left out in the anime! > Apparently the manga was to be concluded in September 2021 with the 10th vol. I'm not sure if it's really finished. In any case, I hope to read the whole story!
Ookiku Furikabutte
Last read ch.: Ch.190 ☚୧️୨☛ One of the best baseball stories out there, if not the very best! I found myself so involved in these guys' tournaments and cheering for them! While being sports-focused with so many technical details, it's so entertaining and well-developed on the emotional level as well. The colorful cast of young characters going through the spring of their youth also does its part in involving the reader. The author said: "High school students are sparkling. I want to hold on to this feeling while drawing the manga". And I really got that feeling while reading! One can't help becoming attached to these guys and wanting to follow their journey. In particular, my baby Mihashi is such an adorable puppy that needs to be protected at all costs! I found him so cute and I was looking after him for all the story! Lastly but not least, I really love Abe and Mihashi's relationship. They still have a long way to go, but, just thinking about how they were in the beginning, we see how much they already grew up together both as a battery and individually along the story. While there're cute moments from the early chapters, at first they could not really communicate with each other, due to Mihashi's lack of self-confidence and shyness and Abe's mistrust in pitchers and its consecutive kinda arrogant attitude, telling Mihashi to never shake his head at him and do as he signals. At vol. 15 they finally have an honest pitcher-catcher talk and after that things keep getting better, especially starting from vol.17 where the coach makes them work together at preparing breakfast and such. Then, slowly they come to understand each other. I believe sooner or later they will truly be on the same page and a sort of special bond will create between them. It doesn't matter what is its true nature, if it's just friendship or maybe a little more than that...they have something precious regardless! And it is becoming even more so, as the story continues. So, for those who like sports stories with some BL undertones, this is perfect! > The dynamics of their relationship can be easily found in BL stories. From the author's 1995 story Yuku Tokoro, it goes without saying that she'd be fine with putting a gay relationship a story, and maybe that's why something can be felt in the intentional-or-not subtext. Yet again, even if Abe and Mihashi's feelings really were to become romantic ones, they would probably not be pursued in this kind of story. Oh well, I'm content with what we're being given anyway! Adapted to anime - I actually watched the anime first and I loved it!! Too bad it didn't continue with a third season! The anime covers the story till volume 15 ch. 56. >>> Note: At ch. 24.4 it ends vol. 13. At ch. 25.1 it begins vol. 14. After ch. 25.2, there's a bit of confusion with the chapters, with some missing and some not in the right order. So, after ch. 25.2, the story continues at ch. 53-54. In ch. 55 it begins vol. 15 and the story continues from there. (ch. 53.1 is a re-upload of the first chapter of vol.14). (ch. 26-30 are some chapters from vol. 15-16, but some parts are missing, so it's better to skip them and continue to read directly at ch. 55, where vol. 15 begins). So, basically ch. 26-30 and 53.1 are to be skipped. Also, ch. 113 and 156 are missing here. But they're available on other sites.
Acca - 13-ku Kansatsuka
Unique story in terms of setting and art style. I really liked the characters. In particular, I loved the duo Jean and his friend Nino and their little moments! As for the plot, I actually thought it wouldn't involve me much, as the story seemed kinda flat at first, but after a few chapters it started taking form and things became definitely interesting! It was also nice to follow Jean into the different districts, each characterized by its own scenery and peculiarities, with Nino always following him as well. So, while at first I really liked it mostly for the characters, I ended up liking the plot as well. Adapted to anime - In the anime, the unique color palettes together with the art style gave a refreshing feel and also made the characters stand out even more. Especially the contrast between those bright vibrant colors and the main character's calm, seemingly-indifferent attitude created just the right balance! > The anime fully adapted the story of the manga. In the last episode, after the credits, there's a bonus scene of Jean and Nino that is not present in the manga. Then, there're also additional special episodes and an OVA whose contents are not present in the manga. Prequel: ACCA - 13-ku Kansatsuka P.S. (not scanlated? I don't know, but I didn't find it) - Coming out after the original ACCA series, this story gives more info about some characters, including for example the five chief officers of ACCA, Nino, and Mauve. Side Story: ACCA - 13-ku Kansatsuka Gaiden - Paula to Michelle (not scanlated) - About two rival Juumoku families and their daughters, who are the same age. Spin-off: BADON (not scanlated) - About 4 men befriending each other in prison and then, after being released, opening a tobacco shop together in the capital Badon.
