╰╮ High-schooler Takashi wants to become a famous rock star, so he decided to drop out of school and form the band "Flowers of Romance" with guitarist Yoruwa, ex-member of "Red Rose". From now on, Takashi will be known as Carlo, his stage name. In the meantime, another ex-member of "Red Rose", the vocalist Hanaomi, already formed his band "Ruby Tuesday"... ➸ So, I liked this manga because of two reasons. Firstly, I liked the art: I love old-style drawings...they have a different touch. Secondly, I liked the musical component, as I like to read stories about music bands. But I have to say that I expected something more! In the beginning I liked how the focus was on music, how they had to pick out a band name, decide on their image and so on...I liked the music scene. Yoruwa even mentioned X Japan, so I thought this would be interesting. However, I wasn't satisfied with the ending! This story needed more depth, more development in the characters' feelings. [May spoil] There were some things lacking here and there. And btw, what's up with those messy relationships?? So, Carlo's first time was with Hanaomi, whose first man was Ayabe. That very Ayabe then tried to do it with Carlo. Yoruwa did it with Hanaomi (in the past) and Carlo (now), who both are in love with him. Now Yoruwa says that he loves Carlo but that he's not a homo. While Hanaomi sleeps around with just about anyone (with his fan, his manager, his new guitarist, Ayabe again...) Σ(￣∇￣") Anyway, returning to the ending, Yoruwa and Carlo didn't even play together at the live, because Yoruwa went to the hospital to visit Hanaomi, who had just been in an accident. So Carlo had to play with Hanaomi's guitarist, Toe, and Ayabe...And what is more, the reason for Hanaomi's accident is still unknown! After that live, I think the author should have done a time skip or something to at least let us know how the band was doing after and give us some extra about their love life as well! I liked Carlo and Yoruwa together, so I wanted more! [Oh and this is a stupid thing actually, but it bothered me: why did they have to cut Yoruwa's hair? That new look was terrible! I preferred him with long hair!] In conclusion, I think it's ok to read it, if one likes stories about music industry and relationships between members. After all, it was funny. But it's also true that there are better stories. ➤ Included a oneshot called "Smoke and Diamond" - Story of a teacher and a biker.

╰╮ Music Band - Vocalist x Bassist (Beware of content - Rape|Torture in ch. 5) The vocalist Asaichi isn't much talented, in fact he's in a band only for the girls and the sex. The new bassist Yoru seems to be very infatuated with him, despite the homophobic Asa treats him badly... I love this BL! Ch. 1 is so funny, I laughed so hard when the little incident happened! Maybe not everyone will like it, especially ch. 5...after all, it's a story by Harada! Sensei doesn't show only the bright side of BL, like in some fluffy manga where everything is pink; reality is different, that's why I love these stories: I can feel them! Anyway, despite homophobic Asa being a jerk towards Yoru, I still can't hate him and later something bad happened to him too. I think he finally came to terms with his feelings and, also, Yoru's unconditional love for Asa is so pure and beautiful! I love this couple and it's also a happy ending! It's so rare to find a long good series like this nowadays, especially about music / with music band! And with anime (and live-action) adaptation to boot! I think there haven't been any since the "Gravitation" days! Anyway, apart from my weakness for stories with music bands, I really love all the characters / couples! It's actually a sad and dramatic story for some aspects, but it's an interesting and emotional reading! Definitely a BL masterpiece! • 1st couple: Ritsuka and Mafuyu (high-school students, different classes // Mafuyu's lover / childhood friend Yuki, who was in a band with Hiiragi and Shizu, committed suicide and he's left with only his guitar // Now in high school Mafuyu asks Ritsuka to teach him to play the guitar and then he becomes the vocalist of the band "The Seasons", whose name will be changed to "Given", in reference to the guitar that was given to Mafuyu that felt like a curse but became a new beginning) • 2nd couple: Haruki and Akihito (Uni students // Older Uke // Akihito is currently freeloading at the apartment of his ex-lover, violin prodigy, Ugetsu) • 3rd couple: Hiiragi and Shizu (childhood friends of Mafuyu and Yuki // Ex-bandmates of Yuki and now still in a band together) Adapted to Anime, Anime movie, OVA and JDrama.
