19 Days

Ongoing | Old Xian | 2014 released

There are so many weaknesses of mine in this story that I can't even think straight anymore!! Every chapter gives me a heart attack! Something like this, I could read it all the time without getting bored of it! It's truly addictive and it has is all: it's super funny, interesting, cute, cool, sexy with hot characters, whom I love all! And the art is cool...I literally love everything about this story! > Short animation from Tencent Animation Application to promote 19 Days and Tamen De Gushi. - Available on YouTube ➽ Actually, it's been a long time now since they had announced that 19 Days would have been adapted to live-action with the involvement of Chai Jidan in the project...

Kaoru-kun

Ongoing | chayamachi suguro | 2000 released

1 Volume (Complete) - Raw: 77mh.com / colist_185844.html Story revolving around Kaoru and some people he meets and gets involved with from childhood till high school... > Tbh, I'm not sure about this story...Certainly, it's something different and I like the art style. At first, I was intrigued, especially about the third chapter where Kaoru meets his friend's older brother Shuu, but somehow from the raw the rest didn't seem so inspiring anymore...

Battery

Ongoing | yuniwa chikage,asano atsuko | 2004 released

Based on homonymous novel by Asano Atsuko that was also adapted to anime - gogoanime.sx / anime / battery-the-animation-9o6q - and Live-action (Movie + Drama) > I liked the anime, but personally I prefer the manga adaptation. It's so much better. I totally love it, also for the art style! And there are more interesting scenes between Gou and Takumi which were left out in the anime! > Apparently the manga was to be concluded in September 2021 with the 10th vol. I'm not sure if it's really finished. In any case, I hope to read the whole story!

Ballroom E Youkoso

Ongoing | takeuchi tomo | 2011 released

I love this story! The art style is fascinating and I really like the Ballroom Dance theme! Adapted to Anime (The episodes cover the story till ch. 54 of the manga)

Socrates In Love

Complete | Kyoichi Katayama | 2004 released

Adapted from Katayama Kyoichi's popular, heartbreaking novel called "Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu", which was also adapted into multiple live-actions (Japanese movie and drama, Korean and Chinese movies). > Somehow, considering also the live-actions, this manga adaptation kinda felt like a summary. But it was still a beautiful tragic story!

Mimi Wo Sumaseba

Complete | Hiiragi Aoi | 1989 released

Adapted to anime movie. > Imo, the anime is great. I enjoyed watching it, but I must say that I prefer the manga. Maybe because some things were a bit changed in the anime and I preferred how they were in the manga. And in the manga I really liked the interaction between Seiji and Shizuku and the development of their relationship. Anyway, I recommend both manga and movie. It's a very pleasant and heart-warming story that I truly enjoyed. It's without a doubt a favourite of mine! Related series: 1 Mimi wo Sumaseba 2 Baron - Neko no Danshaku - Adapted to anime movie as well. Sir Cat the Baron and the cat Muta become protagonists of a fantasy story. 3 Yume no Machi - Neko no Danshaku [[I really liked also the unrelated story included in the second volume, ch. 6 "Kikyou no Saku Koro" - High School // Student x Student // Different Schools // 4 stars]]

Bokura No Negai

Complete | yamamoto kotetsuko | 2012 released

Adapted from: Mankai Darling - Haruhiko and Takashi from Mankai Darling appear here in Bokura no Negai from ch. 4, when Hayato, one of the brothers protagonists here starts working part-time at the flower shop of Haruhiko, who is now 34 y.o. Hayato works there till the end of the story. ≪✿✿≫ I really like BL stories revolving around the members of a certain family. Especially if they're a bit long, so that I can take it slow and taste it well. Also, I like stories with time progression, because I like to follow all the characters' events in different periods of their lives, to see them grow up and such. I really liked the whole atmosphere and all of the characters here! About the side couple, Haruhiko and Takashi from the flower shop, I must say that I actually wasn't crazy for them and their story (from Mankai Darling), but here they fitted so well with the whole story and they gave a nice contribute, especially Haruhiko really made things funny and in the end he also helped in getting Hayato and Ryou together! About the main couples, I was really satisfied with Kento and Take. For Ryou and Hayato, I have to say that in the end I wanted to see a bit more of them as "lovers" and not "brothers" anymore. Because while I really liked the whole process and the pace, with Hayato's conflicted feelings, he talking about it with Haruhiko first and then with Kento as well...then confessing and in the end finally getting together. But that's at the end that they get together, so I felt that I needed a bit more. But I really loved everything about this story! One of my top favourites by sensei!! • Ryou, mistakenly translated as Ame in the first chapters (Eldest brother, not related by blood to the rest of the brothers // 19 y.o. in the 1st chapter, 20 in the 2nd chapter, by the end he's around 23 // Straight and Virgin Uke // After their parents die in the first chapter, he takes on the family business and runs the cafè) x Hayato (3rd brother // In the first chapter he's about 13 (he's an eighth-grader, so a 2nd-year middle-school student), 14 in the 2nd chapter (3rd-year middle-school student) // Virgin Seme // He falls in love with Ryou first // After completing middle school and high school, he is admitted to uni by the end) // Step-brothers // Age Gap // Older Uke // They get together at the end • Kento (2nd brother // In the 1st chapter he's probably 16, in the second chapter 17 (3rd-year high-school student), by the end around 20 // After graduating from high school, he helps Ryou running the cafè // Gay Uke // He's in a physical relationship with his first guy, an older salaryman, but then he get with Takeya, although at first he rejects him) x Takeya, mistakenly translated as Yuya in the first chapters (Masato's classmate // At the beginning he's a fifth-grader in elementary school and he's about 10 // By the end he's about to enter high school // He confesses his feelings to Kento at the beginning; they get together a bit after but they do it after Take is accepted to high school) // Age Gap: 6 years // Older Uke • Masato (4th brother // At the beginning he's a fifth-grader in elementary school and he's about 10 // By the end he's about to enter high school) [[The dramatic part is mostly in the first chapter, where Ryou's father dies in a car accident and then the three brothers' mother dies because of cancer. After that, it's actually a warm and fun series]]

Tokyo Mew Mew

Complete | YOSHIDA Reiko | 2000 released

ו•× Well, ever since I was a child I loved mahou shoujo and Tokyo Mew Mew, as many other well-known products of this category, was one of my fav! Back then I thought it was cool! So, I actually read the manga to recall those good old times and it brings back lots of memories indeed! However, analyzing the story critically, the actual development of the plot is flat; there aren't spannung or exciting moments...even the final resolution escalated quickly and in a very predictable way. About the romantic component, well that didn't satisfy me not even in the anime, because even back then I didn't like Ichigo and Masaya. But, even if there are some differences between the manga and the anime, this last one is more entertaining I guess, especially the battle scenes. Overall, the manga isn't so bad...it's still nice to read! Well, of course, coming back to it now, I realized it's not that great of a story, but it's cute and makes me think of when I was younger, so I still like it! Haha ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ I guess I'm biased because of that nostalgic feeling, but I'll give it 3☆! 7 Volumes (Complete) Magical Girls, Female Fighters, Animal Characteristics, Cafè, Waitresses, Secret Identity, Genetic Modification, Aliens, Rushed Ending|Axed Sequel: Tokyo Mew Mew a La Mode; Side-Story Sequel: Tokyo Mew Mew 2020 Re-Turn Related Series Timeline: 1) Tokyo Mew Mew 2) Tokyo Mew Mew à La Mode 3) Tokyo Mew Mew: 2020 Re-Turn Anime
