I think it had the potential to be longer...anyway, I really liked it!

The stories are cute and sweet, although Gardenia and Wishing on a Star are also bittersweet, melancholic. For my personal tastes, the stories I liked the most are: The Cosmos Garden; Gardenia; The Cherry Tree Correspondence and Snowflakes Fluttering Down Through the Clear Sky.

Unique! The title and the story itself is a reference|representation of Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema's painting "A Silent Greeting" (1889), in which the ‘silent greeting’ of the title is the gift of flowers that the young Roman soldier leaves for the sleeping woman. Great story by Kurimoto Kaoru! Interesting plot and setting, embellished by Igarashi Yumiko's beautiful art, which was perfect for this historical-fantasy manga! It's a pity though that the ending was a bit unsatisfying, because it didn't give a proper conclusion / resolution to the story. By ending just like that, one wants to know what happened after. Instead, it's left to us to imagine what became of them. I wish it had a different, better ending, but I still loved the story! Anyways, being a fantasy tale, that kind of ending is actually not that unusual... > Note: It's not GL! Erminia, the "princess", clearly says that their heart was misplaced in the body of a woman and that they would prefer to take a bride instead of a husband, and to be looked upon as a man by the people. The story shares the same universe as "Guin Saga". Both stories are set in the Kingdom of Paros.
