His first client is the novelist Gerard, a man who hates nobility because of his past. After sleeping with Jacques, he buys the young boy's freedom. Their paths will cross again when Jacques is hired to work at Gerard's house... > Outstanding setting with accurate background, pre and post French Revolution, interesting characters and funny plot twist at the end. During the story we get to see more about Gerard's past and about Jacques's family. I really liked the pace of the story, the interaction between Gerard and Jacques, how their relationship developed and how they changed thanks to one another. A beautiful story about acceptance and true love. For those who love historical genre, this is a MUST READ!

Three stories (2 of them are historical): • Ch 1-2 Swimming in the Dry Street at Night (p. 5-70) - After his parents died, noble Kikyou was taken in by relatives in the countryside, but that lifestyle didn't suit the spoiled boy, so he ran away. Later, being tricked by some strangers, he was sold to a brothel. There, a fateful reunion awaits for him: the owner of the brothel is, in fact, his previous maid's son, Terumasa... • Ch 3-4 The Lavishing Chaos. The Enchanting Banquet (p. 75-126) - The son of the Emperor, the youngest prince Miya, fell in love at first sight with Lieutenant Tachibana, because of something that happened under the wisteria tree when they were children. But maybe Tachibana doesn't remember him... Such a touching and sad story, but beautiful! For this I'd give 5 ★! -I didn't like ch 2 & 3-

Louis starts telling his story to the interviewer and talks about Lestat, the one who turned him into a vampire: I really like the dark ambience and the narrative method, but for now it's not completely available (1 Volume)
