Muko x Muko!? - Available here: mangago.me / read-manga / muko_x_muko / - Transfer students Misao and Eichi, the school's most popular idols, really seem to hate each other. However, the two are actually married and living together! But since moving to Japan, they decided to keep it a secret...so every morning when they arrive at school they show their dislike for each other... // 2 Stars, but it was too ridiculous. > It's obviously not to be taken seriously, but let's focus on a few things that didn't make sense and lacked explanation. First of all, they're transfer students who are said to be foreign citizens that didn't live in Japan before. So, where did they live? They have Japanese names, so are they really foreigners|mixed blood or did they simply live abroad? And what is the specific reason they moved to Japan, did they elope? And let's come to the fact that they're married...even if they decided to keep it a secret, why would they pretend to hate each other? But more than that, let's talk about the fact that the uke was already married once before with a woman (so was he straight|bisexual?) and he has a step-son, the son of that woman. The thing is the step-son has around the same age as the uke and goes to the same school, so had the uke's late wife twice his age? But more than the age gap issue, the fact is that the uke is currently a high schooler and it's already been three years since the woman died, so when did they get married? When he was around 14 or 15? It was a really weird and random story...
Mimi Wo Sumaseba
Adapted to anime movie. > Imo, the anime is great. I enjoyed watching it, but I must say that I prefer the manga. Maybe because some things were a bit changed in the anime and I preferred how they were in the manga. And in the manga I really liked the interaction between Seiji and Shizuku and the development of their relationship. Anyway, I recommend both manga and movie. It's a very pleasant and heart-warming story that I truly enjoyed. It's without a doubt a favourite of mine! Related series: 1 Mimi wo Sumaseba 2 Baron - Neko no Danshaku - Adapted to anime movie as well. Sir Cat the Baron and the cat Muta become protagonists of a fantasy story. 3 Yume no Machi - Neko no Danshaku [[I really liked also the unrelated story included in the second volume, ch. 6 "Kikyou no Saku Koro" - High School // Student x Student // Different Schools // 4 stars]]
Suki Tte Iwarenai
Kinda silly, but ok...2 stars.
Please Save My Earth
Hiwatari Saki's masterpiece! A must-read classic! - An interesting, thought-provoking and beautiful story. One of those unforgettable ones! It's really a brilliantly written work. I was anticipating so much for all the elements to be finally put together, and, while keeping following the characters' inner thoughts and feelings and observing their reactions and growth, I felt the story had this powerful fascinating and mysterious vibe that got me so hooked...I so wanted to see what would happen next that I got so immersed in reading, while being so emotionally engaged as well! I loved it so much! Totally recommended! It's absolutely amazing. I really think it's one of the very best manga ever! > The OVA episodes were good too, but they cover only till volume 8 (Tankoubon), so they just end like that without a conclusion. 21 Volumes (Tankoubon - Complete) // 12 Volumes (Bunkoban - Complete) OVA (1993 // 6 episodes): gogoanime.run / category / boku-no-chikyuu-wo-mamotte > Special: youtube.com / watch?v=NGQEv7g8_xE - "The Passing of the Golden Age contains six music videos with footage not seen in the OVA and scenes taken from the manga, as well as a slightly different version of the OVA ending sequence, and the ending credits for the image videos." Fuuki No Okite
3 Volumes (Complete) - Raws are available. > Honestly, I'm not much taken with this story...I don't know if the raws here are really completed, I think they're not, but having gone through those till ch. 17.5 it seems they didn't do it yet...it dragged on and on without even doing it in the end. This story gave me the impression of being a chaotic mess...like a lot of chaos for nothing... > Anyway, if someone picks it up again, I'll give it another try, because for now I gave it 3 stars, but I'll have to see and confirm if it's really worth even those 3 stars of if it'll be worth 2 stars only at the end...
Oteuchi Kakugo!
Silly story. The beginning wasn't bad, but then it became sillier and sillier. It was supposed to be a cute and funny reading, but it really wasn't. It was a disappointing and kinda annoying reading. The plot, if we can call it that, was bad and I didn't even like the characters. I wanted to finish reading this quickly, because I was irritated and I really couldn't put up with this stupid stuff anymore. It's not that I totally hated it with all my might, so I gave it 2 stars, but it certainly isn't a good story!! Sequel: Kakeochi Kakugo!
Kakeochi Kakugo!
Silly like the prequel. Once again, it was supposed to be a cute and funny reading, but it really wasn't. Definitely not a good story. Also, there was a bit of continuation about the relationship between the chairman and Takano, but it wasn't shown in detail. We got to see them having a proper sex scene only once in the very end. So, even in that respect, it was a quite disappointing reading. Prequel: Oteuchi Kakugo!
