Well, I liked the first chapter, which is basically like the first episode of the anime. However, instead of continuing the story, the three remaining chapters are sort of episodic extra stories each focusing on one of the pilots (Ch.2: Yamada; Ch.3: Akira; Ch.4: Inuzuka). So, this manga version feels kinda pointless and it's not really something worth reading... Also, it loses the anime's visual appeal, especially for the setting and the fighting scenes, so I totally recommend the anime instead!
