Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru
Incest // Forbidden Love Main Story of Boku No Hatsukoi Wo Kimi Ni Sasagu. Not only these two stories are related, but there is also an interesting connection between them: two painful love stories that, for different reasons, will be hampered by many difficulties. I liked how Yori and Takuma's paths crossed. I recommend to read both, cause they are really good. They are both Award-winning Works! There are also ova and live-action for this story.
Boku No Hatsukoi Wo Kimi Ni Sasagu
Side story of Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru. Not only these two stories are related, but there is also an interesting connection between them: two painful love stories that, for different reasons, will be hampered by many difficulties. I liked how Yori and Takuma's paths crossed. Anyways, this story was so intense and emotional, it kept me worried until the end. It's bittersweet, but that's reality, the most important thing is to not lose hope!! *ღ¸¸.•╮ [MAY SPOIL] I just hope that someday Kou will wake up!! ╥﹏╥ About the ending, it's ambiguous, cause it can be interpreted in two ways: I want to think that he survived the operation and, after the time skip, what we see is their actual future together; but it could also be that he died and the happy scene at the end is the future he imagined while writing the will. So, that's why this story is really sad and the live-action is even sadder, cause there is tragic ending. Anyways, the manga's ending can be interpreted according to one's own perspective.
Kanata Kara
Epic story! Some may avoid this because of the art. After all, most of sensei's works are pretty old, but they are good stories: I think they are a great contribution to shoujo category. Certainly, From far away is a classic masterpiece!
Red River
Award-Winning Work || Time Travel || Adventure || Drama || Historical || Age Gap || Character Growth || Middle Eastern || Old-style art || Royalty || Strong smart Guy || Strong smart Girl || Wars || Character Deaths Superb story set in ancient Anatolia: a masterpiece! I read stories with similar characteristics, but without a doubt this is the best historical shoujo with time travel! EPIC, GENIAL, BREATHTAKING >> I say, this needs an anime adaptation!! How come there's none yet??
Sugar Sugar Rune
ו•× "Sugar Sugar Rune! Choco Rune! Your heart is picked up!" - I really liked Sugar Sugar Rune, especially when I was younger: thinking about it, it brings back lots of memories, but for me it really never gets old! It's such a cute mahou shoujo! And I love Chocolat and Pierre so much!! I enjoyed following them and Vanilla, Poivre, Soul, Woo and everyone in this magical adventure! It was also funny, so it's a lighthearted reading that I recommend. Also, it teaches important values like friendship and love, so it's a nice shoujo that soothes one's heart~♡ >> Imo, some things needed more deepening, more details, but I loved the story regardless. >> There are also differences between the manga and the anime here and there. In the anime there are many fillers and some things were changed a bit. While other things were left out, [containing spoilers] for example about the familiars Duke and Blanca regaining human form and Duke|Poivre actually being Chocolat's uncle|Cinnamon's younger brother; and, more importantly, about Glace being Chocolat's father! The main difference is the ending: the last episode is completely different from the manga! In the manga, Cinnamon, Queen Candy and Robin sacrificed themselves to help to save the magical world. Pierre also fought alongside Chocolat against Glace and then they went missing and lost their memories, which made them return a few years later, for Vanilla's coronation. Vanilla ended up with Woo and she accepted the crown only because Chocolat was missing. After they reunited, she retained her position as Queen upon Chocolat's wish. Then, Chocolat and Pierre depart to the humans' world to start a new life and Pierre's heart is shown to be red for Chocolat. While in the anime, nobody died and Pierre and Chocolat ended up exchanging hearts. Vanilla won the crown but gave it to Chocolat, who decided to return to the humans' world with Vanilla, Woo and Soul. There they met Pierre, who knelt down and kissed Chocolat's hand. >> TBH, even if I enjoyed more the anime when I was younger, now I prefer the manga!
Shugo Chara
ו•× I really liked this manga! The shugo eggs and the shugo chara|guardian characters are so cute! (≧∀≦) I watched the anime years ago and I read the manga only now, but I still liked it! Imo it's a nice story to read at any age, for real! It's so cute and funny and Ikuto will always be a weakness of mine! (。♡‿♡。) I loved Amu and Ikuto, Utau and Kuukai (I love "Older Female Younger Male"), Nagihiko and Rima. Younger readers will certainly love this story and it may be inspiring especially for those who are in the growing phase. In fact, it was awarded the 2008 Kodansha Manga Award for best children's manga. ➸ Maybe the only thing that was a bit "weird" is that Amu is in elementary school while Ikuto is already in high school! If you think about it, that's a bit unusual...but, personally, it didn't bother me at all, because their relationship was so pure and they were so cute! Also, in the end they look so good as grown-up! 。^‿^。 12 Volumes (Complete) ➸ Vol. 12 ch. 49-52: side story - Shugo Chara! Umimachi Diary
9 Volumes (Complete) Adapted to Live-action movie - Personally, I liked the movie. It was good and well-done, with great photography and good actresses. But I must say that for the most part I found it regrettably boring. Anyways, I prefer the manga, so I hope to read the whole story!
