Stranger

Complete | KUKU Hayate | 2000 released

«★[☼]★» I totally loved this! The unique setting, the character, their first encounter and everything! It's just that I wish there was more...at the end, I really wanted to see more of them! In fact, I wanted to give it 5 stars and I thought it was going to be a masterpiece, but I gave it 4, because I think it needed another volume or so to be more complete and deep. I feel there was more to explore out there, many possibilities (and for example we don't know pretty much anything about Toto!)...it really had the potential to be a longer adventurous series! Anyway, I still appreciated this great story so much. As I like western-themed stories, I'd love to read more BL like this! # American Seme x Native-American Uke

[Baka-Updates] Suddenly stricken with lupus, a photographer loses sight in one eye. Faced with an uncertain prognosis, he feels an urgent need to revisit the South Pacific island that inspired his career. Can he convince the man he encountered there years ago, now a medical researcher in Southern California, to accompany him on his journey? > I really loved this story! Especially when they went back to the island together and when they finally made love immersed in the nature...it was truly beautiful and fascinating! Also, Mani's tribal tattoos looked so good on him! # Half-South-Pacific Half-French Uke

Usotsuki wa Shinshi no Hajimari

Complete | MATSUO Marta | 2000 released

1st-year Uni Student x 37 y.o. Professor // American x American (WASP) // Straight Uke x Married Gay Seme ☚୧୨☛ Matsuo Marta's masterpiece - A must-read, unique quirky BL! It's comical in an odd way and, in contrast, underneath it lies a bittersweet realism, but at the same time it's cool and captivating! Somehow, the characters are charismatic in their own way and complement each other so well, despite that sort of swinging / intermittent relationship, with moments where they were not aligned, and their not-so-honest face-to-face confrontations. Btw, that was a very interesting dynamic! Anyway, it's a couple that grows on you, pulls you in and makes you interested and curious to see how their relationship will evolve or, better said, if it will evolve at all... > Apparently there's an alternative ending called Quicksand, which replaced the current ch. 8, but it's not scanlated. // Edit: it's now available! Thank you to the person who finally added this here! Thank you so much!! > Extra, Material Boy - 77mh.com / colist_233412.html

Stigma

Complete | Marloong | 2000 released

「 Summary: In the dark alleys of this city, there's no hope for trash like Sehyun. Having sex with strangers in the cramped stall behind a bar is just a typical Thursday night. But after a chance encounter with the brash and violent Boris, Sehyun begins to dream of living a normal life and an end to his restless nights. Boris is unlike any other man he's encountered. After a life spent bound by thorns, can time truly heal all scars? 」 I love how Boris was Sehyun's saviour! These stories of salvation, unconditional love and newfound hope for a better future always get me! And, if they have a realistic feel and they're well-written and impressive like this one, also in terms of art and everything else, I'm really totally captivated! Stigma also has many of my favourite elements, from the setting and the plot to the characters and their interaction and dynamics, so I loved it so much from the very beginning! And, in the end, I was so glad that, after so many hardships, Sehyun finally found peace thanks to Boris and strated a new happy life together with him! > Lastly but not least, the message of the story is very important, because it's so easy to judge things as they appear without even knowing what lies behind a facade / a situation, or turn away from something which doesn't have anything to do with us and seems so distant from us! But Boris learnt the lesson in first person (when he witnessed his friends raping a girl but didn't do anything to help, he simply turned away, and then the girl, Tracy, ultimately jumped in front of his car and died), that we can't always remain indifferent and turn a blind eye to such bad things happening in front of our eyes! We have to do something...and that's how Boris saved Sehyun from that living hell! Just thinking about how Sehyun would have had to continue to "live" like that if Boris hadn't come into his life, it makes me so sad! At the end, Sehyun's words in front of Tracy's grave sent shivers down my spine: "If it weren't for you, Boris might have left that restroom without noticing me. He wouldn't have had a reason to follow me to Michael's house...or roll around in the snow because of me, either. So, I...owe my life to you." > Btw, that "slutty uke" tag should be removed! > (Ch. 31-32 - Their first time together) # Uke with tattoos, Seme with tattoos and piercings (lobe piercings, eyebrow piercing, helix and nostril)

Honeydew Syndrome

Complete | aliena shoemaker | 2006 released

[[Read from Left to Right]] - OEL // Canadian BL Man, I wanted more! I needed to see more of the main couple, Metis and Josh! Since the very beginning, I was really into it and wanted to see the development of their relationship! I loved the unique, sort of chill but quirky vibe of the story and all its odd but likeable characters. It was an interesting group of guys. It's really the kind of teen story I love to read! Too bad that it felt like the author suddenly decided to stop there! Well, the story somehow came to end (for the side couple, Erik and 1-year-older Samuel, as well), but it definitely could have been longer and expanded some more. I also wish something came out from the Jay and Charles situation...that's the only thing that left me unsatisfied because I liked them too! Anyway, while I gave 4 stars instead of 5, I still loved it so much! It was a lovely funny reading with a taste different from usual! And it captivated me!
