Who is the Prey
Reminds me a lot of that manga (forgot the name) in which the evil ML is a pop star that is in love with his senpai, but senpai is married to a woman (FL). So the ML takes revenge on FL but then falls in love with her (after a trillion chapters). That one was more geared towards mature content and sexual scenes but it also had a story. In that one, FL was annoying as heck (as with many mature manga). Here, the FL is badass but the theme is the same. As a rule of thumb, if the author makes people say "he is so handsome" about the antagonist, know that he is bound to fall for FL. It's beyond me why it should be the case because the story is as intriguing without it. It is stupid to expect (psychologically) that a man portrayed THIS evil go ahead and "fall in love" for his victim just because. Apart from this major flaw in the story (which I attribute to Asian tastes for seinen/josei), the story is powerfully told and author does not hold back giving you goosebumps. The ending is not cliche (thank goodness) but it is going to leave a bitter taste (I mean like after all this shit, what do you expect?). Was a nice ride. Mango's Bone
The story is heavy but the art tries to keep it lighthearted. It had to potential to be among my "serious, dark, and thought provoking" list, but the story focused more on drama than combatting psychological issues. So it just touched the surface and stayed true to its shoujo tag. Still a good read.
