My Lover, My Teacher
To the outside world, Kyujin and Doyeol are cousins who live together. But behind closed doors, the younger Doyeol is a reckless lover that Kyujin somehow can’t disobey. Unwittingly, Kyujin triggers Doyeol’s possessive side as he finds himself entangled with Jimin, a rebellious high schooler he’s tutoring. Cousin, teacher, and student—all roles and rules are bound to be broken. ---------- I-...... I don't know what the f*ck I just read. I liked this story's build-up but, what? The tension between Doyeol & Kyujin is quite nice. I liked the build up to it. But I feel quite bad for Doyeol. I didn't have any particular feelings about Jimin's character, and Kyujin's lack of spine really made me want to throw fists. He's such a coward and it made me mad the entire time. If only for that the ending's perfectly suited. It stamps his character as just that. He's really pathetic. Was his character handled a bit differently I might has sympathized with him, but as he is written now, he's just a pathetic man who's indecisiveness and selfishness hurts the ones he's involved with. Also, Doyeol needs to see a therapist. In any case, I feel like this vould have been an okay read if it'd have been better structured and thought-through. A lot of the plot seemed shallow and rushed. As well as the characters not being written in enough details. Leaving only few traits to make up their personalities. It's not the worst BL I've ever read, but it wasn't good either.
