Ou-sama to Puppy Love
Ehhhhhhhhh. Meh.
Midarana Omega wa Koi wo Shinai
Sakushima Nanao is an omega whom enrols to a boarding school. In order to earn some money to afford his heat suppressants, he joins a 'circle' that sells the members' bodies to elite alphas within their school. One day, Ashiya Souji, an alpha transfer-student, bothers Nanao under the pretense that he fell in love with the latter at first sight. ----------- It wasn't good. Just your average thing. Everything was predictable from the beginning to the end, nothing made me like any of the characters in particular except for Souji (main Alpha). I usually like the childhood friends to lovers trope, but this one felt lacking. There's nothing much to say about this, it was pretty shallow in all aspects. I did appreciate the depictions of the psychological dilemmas of both Nanao & Souji. The way it was handled wasn't too bad, especially towards the end. It also ended on a sweet note which is always nice.
Altruist
After drinking with the members of his college department, Asahi was suddenly invited by Toono Sensei to come at his place. As they enter his home, Asahi was pushed by Sensei to have sex with Tsukasa, an omega who is currently on heat. Asahi being an Alpha couldn't suppress the urge to hold Tsukasa and Sensei was there filming it all on his tape. Now he can’t seem to get himself out of this weird situation. ---------- Not a fan of the characters or the story per se, but for once, this story isn't just a manga where the omega always gets screwed over by an evil alpha and gets marked. Here, Tsukasa never got marked and the reasons for why they both act the way they did in the beginning is made to be very clear and obvious to the reader. The whole verse regarding bunnies and bears and whatnot gag did make me uncomfortable though. The fact that Asahi (alpha) was never in love with Tsukasa to begin with, made it so their relationship was literally just like having a sex friend. Asahi doesn’t have someone he loves, and Tsukasa himself consented to it, so nothing was wrong there. I liked that Asahi was an understanding friend to Tsukasa and Yuusuke (beta). As omegaverse readers pretty much all know that for a beta and an omega to be together, takes a real toll physically, mentally, and emotionally, and it requires a lot of effort in order to make their relationship work. And the author made sure to picture those facts well. I was able to enjoy it thanks to all that.
69 Street, Tomorrow Island
The ML's a complete asshole, and the plot's really bad to boot. Don't bother.
