The Missing O
Sex can be amazing, not to mention ecstasy inducingly mind-blowing. And Eunsung knows that because 7 years ago, she had good sex (an understatement). She felt the universe crack open to show her its secrets. Too bad she hasn’t had a decent orgasm since. It’s been a long journey, but everyone knows, before you get to “P,” you have to go through “O.” ---------- Honestly..? A huge surprise is what I'm going to say. It made me laugh so much. It was both funny and cute at the same time, the characters are all so interesting. The plot's predictable yet so enjoyable. I really loved Sera & Minsuh's pairing, they had really nice chemistry. Okjae just straight-up made me laugh 'til my stomach hurt so many times, and finally, Eunsung's such an interesting and fun character. I loved reading her story, and her dynamic with Johan was such a good one. Their relationship's so healthy and cute. Seeing Minsuh's toxic ex and Minhee reap what they'd sowed was beyond satisfying as well. I do feel sorry for Minhee's character, but he really needed a wake-up call. And some seriously intense therapy sessions... I liked seeing his character growth following said wake-up call. To stay onto his character, but also go back on Minsuh's character's topic. Whilst I loved Eunsung's character and seeing her strength of character, as well as her growth, I have to say that Minsuh & Minhee's characters wereequaylly as fascinating as hers. I loved seeing them ad they battled their inner demons and struggled with self-doubt. They've both grown in many ways throughout the entire story's timeline. I found myself feeling sorry for them, pitying them, being angry at them, feeling happy for them. They truly gave me quite the emotional roller-coaster. Their issues felt so real, they were almost tangible. Next is: That. Trio. Seriously, this Eunsung-Minsuh-Okjae, Three Musketeers, kinda deal was so fun to read, and Sera's addition to the group as the story progressed became the cherry on top. I really loved their friendship and how well the author managed to display how tight it actually is. Overall, relationships between every character felt very realistic and had some serious work put into it. Of course this was the most obvious with the main couple: Eunsung & Johan. But it very well applies to both the romantic and platonic other relationships being tackled within this story as a whole. And the author not going for the easy plot device of creating unecessary drama in Eunsung & Johan's relationship using Ho-Eun's character's come back, but instead have her participate greatly in Minhee's growth, as well as help moving the plot forward for the main cast was really refreshing! Such a fun read! The Art's also such a sight for sore eyes. I loved how the author didn't shy away from giving her characters such a wide range of emotions and facial expressions. It really made them feel all the more alive.
Melting Point (Chamji)
"Who could love someone like you?" These few words spoken to Hyun in high school have haunted him ever since. Unable to succeed in either his career or his relationships, Hyun sets all his hopes on one final job interview. But upon arriving at the office, he comes face to face with Myungook, the source of his past trauma... Now on the same team, they'll have to work out their past issues first. Can the two heal old wounds or is this relationship destined to go down in flames? ---------- I feel like something's missing. Hyun's redemption arc wasn't bad per se. But it doesn't feel complete. I feel like the author should've portrayed more about his traumas. They just felt brushed over and it made it pretty hard to condone his actions towards Myungook. The way he immediately assumed that Myungook was dating someone and cheating really ticked me off as well. He acted like a huge jerk over a few ambiguous texts from someone that could as well have been some no-strings attached partner. Nothing was opfficial between him and Hyun yet, so Hyun's reaction was way out of line and immature. I feel like the author should've included how the guy at the bar's number ended up being saved as a heart tho. It never felt completely resolved because of that. All in all I didn't enjoy it. There were a few scenes here and there I found cute, others that satisfied me, like when Myungook punched his coworker or when they went together to meet Myungook's parents and Hyun had a private conversation with his mother. But other than that it was pretty average.
Till Our Lips Touch
Sebastian Jung was the hottest teacher, that is, until Isaac Han arrived. Tall, intelligent, and beautifully brooding, Isaac has it all and Sebastian knows this all too well. In the past, they had shared a sultry after school romance. Now, Isaac is back. Can Sebastian resist falling for Isaac again or will his lips yearn for his touch? ---------- If you are looking for a fluffy story without unnecessary drama, and just want to giggle and enjoy the show, this one could be it. An overall really sweet story. I wasn't a fan of Isaac's characters, as I found him too wishy-washy at the beginning of the story. But as they got back together I had a few giggles and him and Sebastian made a pretty cute pair. As a personnal preference, I'd have preffered for Don and Greg's relationship to remain platonic in nature, for them to merely be two supporting characters. But it's not that uncommon in BLs to get a close friend of the main couple who's interested in another character. So Don's implied feelings for Greg didn't come as a surprise at all. Anyhow, it's a cute story.
Behind The desk
Lee Taesung returned to his high-school after years as a physics teacher ..Among all his memories, their is a particular one which he holds very dear - memory of his first love whose name and face he never knew. ---------- Such a good read, the Art is beautiful and very detailed, the relationship between each character was very well handled. There's some serious character development left right and center for pretty much all of them. Taesung & Sunny's relationship is one that really grows through the story. Sunny's character kind of hit me in a similar way to Given's Mafuyu, in the sense that I find myself drawn to and fascinated by them. They're very intriguing. Something about them just pulls you in. Makes you want to root for and learn more about them. The Artwork, once more, is really good and does a really good job at displaying their emotions throughout the whole plot. It blew me away quite a few times how expressive characters could be on each and every new page. Hosung & Young were interesting characters as well. I even got interested in seeing Hosung's side story. He seems like such a fascinating character to read about. Young was interesting as well in the sense that, yes, he may be trash trash. But at least, he is trash that grows and uses its head and is open to growing and learning from his past mistakes. But that was it, while I did find him intriguing, I didn't really care for his character more than that otherwise. The students were a funny addition as side characters with their occasional influence and goofiness to help move the plot forward.
Oni to Tengoku
Aoki, a high school teacher, has motivation for little else than expending as little effort as possible. After being scolded by a senior teacher, he goes to the infirmary to check on a student that has been skipping class. There he shares his first real conversation with the eerily perceptive school nurse, Tengoku Manabu. ---------- I'm quite conflicted about this one, I wish the author hadn't used sexual harassment as the relationship's starting fuel, but it's also probably the only time I appreciated a story with such a plot. Somehow, the way it was being used and Tengoku & Aoki's dynamic made it less uncomfortable and reading this didn't feel like reading something rapey. It tried being twisted but I just didn't get such a vibe from it, also the Art is amazing to look at, I love how they legitimately look like two men in their 30s, and how detailed their expressions are. I really enjoyed how the Aoki and Tengoku's relationship evolved as the story progressed. There were quite a few cliches used in the plot, but it was still enjoyable, and it felt a little different. Once more, I quite liked the characters' designs! Seriously refreshing, you don't see characters drawn like them really often, especially Aoki's design surprised me (in a positive way). This was far from perfect, but I still really did enjoy it a lot.
