Private Stripper

Complete | Sera | 2020 released

At night, salaryman Akihiro transforms into Lindsey, a popular stripper. In order to support his childhood friend & unrequited love Taiga's family after he's hospitalized with a critical injury, Aki secretly took this night job. But what happens when Taiga recovers and finds out? ---------- I actually got emotional at the last scene. I love how the Artwork was done to display Aki's emotion at this moment. Other than that, the story was a cute, brief one. Once more, and like most BLs, it was too rushed. Could've spread a little more over time for the story to develop. But hey- it works as a nice short read. Finally, sorry not sorry but Taiga, my guy.. Your ass just came out of a coma, yet somehow you still have all your gains? Like how?? Drop the secret.

After drinking with the members of his college department, Asahi was suddenly invited by Toono Sensei to come at his place. As they enter his home, Asahi was pushed by Sensei to have sex with Tsukasa, an omega who is currently on heat. Asahi being an Alpha couldn't suppress the urge to hold Tsukasa and Sensei was there filming it all on his tape. Now he can’t seem to get himself out of this weird situation. ---------- Not a fan of the characters or the story per se, but for once, this story isn't just a manga where the omega always gets screwed over by an evil alpha and gets marked. Here, Tsukasa never got marked and the reasons for why they both act the way they did in the beginning is made to be very clear and obvious to the reader. The whole verse regarding bunnies and bears and whatnot gag did make me uncomfortable though. The fact that Asahi (alpha) was never in love with Tsukasa to begin with, made it so their relationship was literally just like having a sex friend. Asahi doesn’t have someone he loves, and Tsukasa himself consented to it, so nothing was wrong there. I liked that Asahi was an understanding friend to Tsukasa and Yuusuke (beta). As omegaverse readers pretty much all know that for a beta and an omega to be together, takes a real toll physically, mentally, and emotionally, and it requires a lot of effort in order to make their relationship work. And the author made sure to picture those facts well. I was able to enjoy it thanks to all that.

Just when Yeonduk thought he was finally going to be free of his tormentor (and family friend and crush, might we add), Seo Skyler – coolest kid in school – saunters his way into the same classroom. Skyler might look blessed (his sister’s even in a girl group), but he’s got some family issues that only Yeonduk can understand. Yeonduk is more than just star-struck, though, and when Skyler starts acting nice and walking to school with him, he can’t help but hope there might finally be more between them...Has Skyler had a change in heart ...? will they able to go back how they were when they were kids.....? ----------- I need more chapters, I want to see more of their happiness together ;-; Such an emotional roller-coaster. The characters feel real, they grow so much throughout this entire story. The plot makes sense and the traumas being worked on aren't simply brushed over like they do in most BLs attempting a go at such heavy topics. It felt so real, and the character development is very smoothly done. I loved every chapter of it, it felt like no page was a waste. A really pleasant read. Skyler's family members all felt real as well, which I feel tends to be rare in such stories. And I really found myself investedin this story. I couldn't have wished for any better. Skyler and Yeonduk's relationship is a very complex and meaningful one, and the author really managed to make you feel any emotions they felt, depicting it perfectly. I truly felt their mutual despise, then mutual love for one another. The story was full of ups and downs, and I absolutely adored the approach regarding Bomi's character, how the author chose to use her as a really good plot device in order to make Yeonduk reach his own conclusions, and acknowledge and sort out his feelings. Such an amazing piece. Still not over the fact that they got f***in clouds in their hair tho. xD

At the End of the Road

Complete | Haribo | 2016 released

After a car accident, Taemin finds himself in the body of Siwon, a victim of bullying at school. No longer a pushover, he starts standing up for himself but then meets Woojin, an old friend from the past. Somehow, Woojin immediately picks up Taemin's 'scent' from Siwon. What happened between these two in the past and how will it affect their future? ---------- It's a really interesting story to follow, but also a really disappointing one. I wish that Jiwook would've ended up in a youth detention center or a psych ward to get some treatment or something as well as pay for his crimes somehow. Whilst he was not physically one of Siwon's rapists, he was still an instigator, as well as the one who leaked the videotape around. I wish we'd seen a scene with Siwon's assaulters being brought to justice with the videotape and the recording as evidence. I do get what the author tried too do by having Taemin (AKA Siwon) throw the recorder away and tell Woojin (AKA Siwoon) that he "didn't want him to step that low". But that wouldn't have been stepping low in any way shape or form if they'd brought said recording to the authorities. And I'd have felt better about Siwon's case, like he at least had gotten justice for what he'd endured and been pushed to suicide for. Jiwook literally pushed someone to suicide, had the videotape of said person being raped leaked and spread around, he abused them in several ways, and again last but not least, he pushed them to suicide. But he gets to just live his life as if nothing ever happened along with his fellow instigators? They should all pay for what they did. So, I'm pretty sour regarding this fact. It was really upsetting how there was such a build-up to them paying for their crimes, yet nothing happens in the end, and you're given such a piss poor of an excuse that "I don't want you to stoop as low as them". It makes no sense. I'll give you that Taemin & Woojin's relationship is such a fascinating one. Their bonds go deep, which the author does a really good job at demonstrating. Their relationship has a very nice vibe to it as well, and Taemin's character on its own is already really interesting. He made me chuckle more than once just by being himself. It's crazy how interesting each characters are. Even side-characters like Hoon and Minjun, you end up wanting to learn more about them and get attached to them more and more as the story goes. But Woojin is way too controlling and obsessive. So it could be worth giving it a go for these few aspects, but one should be aware that it will de disappointing and upsetting overall.
