Biting the Tiger
Yunho is a vocalist of a rock band with a painful past of losing all of his family in a car accident when he was just a little boy. One day, Yunho went to a gathering to hear that his beloved Kyung-hoon, who has always consoled him in his dark days, had fallen in love with another man. Yunho runs out from shock and bumps into a mysterious man, Hanwool who happens to be a mythical tiger. When they run into each other, Hanwool senses a sweet scent coming from Yunho, and although Hanwoo has never been interested in humans he finds himself intrigued by Yunho. ---------- It's cute, but the characters are so bland. They do have a few traits here and there which I liked and found cute. But they lack depth. The plot feels quite lacking as well. And may I say that, ya lost me in the second half man with the whole butterfly plot device. Like yo- There were so many ways to make this more interesting but the way it was handled made it quite boring to me. It's like the author just took the dullest of them all and just winged it. I just don't get the hype around this manhwa. Like sure, if you want a quick and fluffy read that doesn't require much thinking or anything, then go for it, this is definitely the one, kinda the same vibe as 'Til Our Lips Touch'... But to me, as I got into it after my friend sold it to me incessantly for weeks on end, you have no idea how hard I felt the urge to facepalm myself as I was reading this. It was painfully boring. It's cute. But that's about all that it has going for it.
