The Missing O
Sex can be amazing, not to mention ecstasy inducingly mind-blowing. And Eunsung knows that because 7 years ago, she had good sex (an understatement). She felt the universe crack open to show her its secrets. Too bad she hasn’t had a decent orgasm since. It’s been a long journey, but everyone knows, before you get to “P,” you have to go through “O.” ---------- Honestly..? A huge surprise is what I'm going to say. It made me laugh so much. It was both funny and cute at the same time, the characters are all so interesting. The plot's predictable yet so enjoyable. I really loved Sera & Minsuh's pairing, they had really nice chemistry. Okjae just straight-up made me laugh 'til my stomach hurt so many times, and finally, Eunsung's such an interesting and fun character. I loved reading her story, and her dynamic with Johan was such a good one. Their relationship's so healthy and cute. Seeing Minsuh's toxic ex and Minhee reap what they'd sowed was beyond satisfying as well. I do feel sorry for Minhee's character, but he really needed a wake-up call. And some seriously intense therapy sessions... I liked seeing his character growth following said wake-up call. To stay onto his character, but also go back on Minsuh's character's topic. Whilst I loved Eunsung's character and seeing her strength of character, as well as her growth, I have to say that Minsuh & Minhee's characters wereequaylly as fascinating as hers. I loved seeing them ad they battled their inner demons and struggled with self-doubt. They've both grown in many ways throughout the entire story's timeline. I found myself feeling sorry for them, pitying them, being angry at them, feeling happy for them. They truly gave me quite the emotional roller-coaster. Their issues felt so real, they were almost tangible. Next is: That. Trio. Seriously, this Eunsung-Minsuh-Okjae, Three Musketeers, kinda deal was so fun to read, and Sera's addition to the group as the story progressed became the cherry on top. I really loved their friendship and how well the author managed to display how tight it actually is. Overall, relationships between every character felt very realistic and had some serious work put into it. Of course this was the most obvious with the main couple: Eunsung & Johan. But it very well applies to both the romantic and platonic other relationships being tackled within this story as a whole. And the author not going for the easy plot device of creating unecessary drama in Eunsung & Johan's relationship using Ho-Eun's character's come back, but instead have her participate greatly in Minhee's growth, as well as help moving the plot forward for the main cast was really refreshing! Such a fun read! The Art's also such a sight for sore eyes. I loved how the author didn't shy away from giving her characters such a wide range of emotions and facial expressions. It really made them feel all the more alive.
Anata wa Iyarashii Hito
Munakata has a secret, right after caching a suspect and closing a case, he feels the unstoppable urge to release sexual frustration, as a way to alleviate his repressed desire, he sets up online videos where he shows how he gives himself pleasure, in one of those moments, Tooru, Munakata's junior hears some him, thinking that he might be in need of help, he bursts in right in the middle of an online trasmission, from there on, everything gets complicated. ---------- First off, love the Artwork. Then for the plot, pretty much predictable and nothing particularly interesting, but the dynamic of the story was good. I liked the shifts in characters in both Tooru and Munakata, as well as the chemistry between them. We had the typical use of the jerk ex-partner, but for once, he was fully aware of being one for a change.
Royal Servant
Kyon, a young man is informed of a job opportunity as a servant for a Royal Blood/Aristocrat (people born with a core & mystic powers. They have longer lifespans and are physically stronger than normal humans. If their core grows corrupt, either due to severe mental shock or a poison called 'VS Solution', they turn into a 'Zero') named Lucaon. Curious about the opportunity, Kyon starts working there, only to find out that his new Master loathes servants. As the two slowly learn more about one another, what secrets could Lucaon possibly hold..? ---------- So... I have quite a lot on my mind about this one. First of all, amazingly unique and dramatic plot. But hella rapey and toxic. Not only is the pacing of the story off at first, you could still follow and understand what was happening, but the flow of the story was poorly handled, and details were left out here and there. At least, the story progressed, that one issue slowly resolved itself. The characters were kind of all over the place as well, some of them I found bland and outright uninteresting, whilst others I found myself fascinated by. The two main characters are unlikeable, and the potential that the plot had soon went to nothingness. I did like the questions that this story raised at the end tho. But I don't buy that they were in love as soon as the author tried to sell it. Sorry not sorry hun'. Ya were just a horny boi. It's not love. It's dependence, if anything at all.
Shucchou Host Nyu Boy
University student Naruse appears as a customer before Kei, a travel host from an Erogenous Aesthetic shop specializing in services to women. Kei offers Naruse the limited edition "Return to Origins Course", after being asked to treat Naruse as he would a girl. He can't provide an honest service to Naruse after being tricked, after all. ---------- I laughed my ass off during the first chapter, and the bag swap later on was predictable yet still had me dead. And I have no idea why but I thought this story was so cute. Overall I had fun and I was moved.
From Points of Three
Jisuh is quiet, unassuming... observant. He’s suited to working behind the camera. But for reasons he’s not exactly quick to disclose, he’s run into some debt. Heejae, an actor he’s worked with before, proposes he work with him exclusively on a private project of his...shooting himself and his partner having sex. Jisuh thought he was hired for his camera skills, but Heejae seems to know an awful lot about him and he can’t help but wonder why he really hired him. ---------- Damn Jisuh was one heck of a refreshing character. He had some serious resolve to push Heejae away, and teach him a lesson for what he's done to him. Jisuh was fully aware of the fact that he didn't have feelings for Sunyool and he refused to lead him on. I liked the psychological side to this one, there were some plot holes, but overall I was still able to enjoy it. I'm glad this one didn't turn out to be a love triangle as well, as I personally don't like reading stories involving polygamous/amorous relationships. I also didn't mind the side-story at the end, which, for me is unusual.
Playtime with Hakdo
A realistic feel to the relationship, the arstyle is interesting and not one you see everywhere. Would have liked for it to be a little longer, but overall a pleasant surprise.
