Takaramono wa Hako no Naka
Tokura Ei is a forensic archaeologist who’s dealt with discrimination due to the fact that he’s gay. He struggles to keep his distance from his childhood friend and lover Kamiryou Gin, because he doesn’t want Gin to experience bigotry. This was a really intense manga. It was really interesting to have the topic of discrimination be front and center. While I get why Ei was hurting Gin, my heart still went out to both of them. I loved Gin’s perseverance, after all the stuff he did and put up with to get Ei, he seriously deserves a happy ending.
Megane Goshi no Sora wa...
This manga includes four stories. The first story follows Azuma Shirou. Azuma has a glasses fetish and for some reason his eyes seem to follow Sorachi Satoshi. This story was so adorable! Sorachi is the cutest damn thing ever. He’s so squishable! I loved how both were so insecure and jealous, it was endearing. The second story follows Minami Kazuhiko as he always seems to stumble upon Sawai being confessed to. He and Sawai have a sexual relationship, which the adorably dense Minami interprets as just Sawai killing time before he gets a girl. Of course his assumption is completely off. The third story is about detective Saegusa Noritaka, who developed a crush on the café worker Nanase Ikumi. And finally, the last story is about Saegusa’s assistant Kirishima. Kirishima has had a crush on his neighbor for eight years. When Shirai Tetsuji is leaving for college, they are unwilling to let go of each other. This manga’s sequel is Wild Darling.
Kirakira no Hibi
An adorable story about the relationship between Naruse Nanami and the aloof surfer, Akiba Shuu. This was just fluffy and fun overall. Shuu’s poker face, especially when he’s supposed to be happy, was hilarious and Nanami was so adorable. Ayumi at the end killed me with that comment. The last two chapters are the manga Kamatte Kawaii Hito, it’s about a man who goes to a cat café to get over his fear of cats and meets a staff member who loves cats.
Aishiteru (FUJITANI Youko)
The adorable love story between the workaholic Ichise Kazushi and aspiring chef Aiha Harutomo. Beautiful, just pure perfection. This manga is so freaking sweet you’ll get diabetes. I loved the relationship between them, and how they care and encourage each other.
Junketsu Drop
Head of the culture department Kasukabe and the head of the sports department, Misato Yuuji are like cats and dogs. One day Kasukabe helps Misato hide from his fangirls and they begin a physical relationship. I loved the fact that they despised each other in the beginning and then slowly fell in love. Plus the virgin taunting the other virgin for being a virgin was hilarious. They were both lovable, adorable idiots.
Tasogare Wa Karera No Jikan
Okumura Ritsuto has the power to charm people to the point of obsession. When helping his cousin charm a client and ends up being stalked by the client. At that moment a mysterious man named Luka appears and tells Ritsuto to command the stalker to leave. Turns out Luka possesses the same ability as Ritsuto and they are destined partners. Some of the descendants of the Okumura family have the power to enchant others. This was really good, I wish it was longer! Warning: attempted gang rape.
Sayonara, Itoshi No My Friend
