Tsumori Ei was dumped by his boyfriend on Christmas Eve. He discovered a young man, Nakama Junpei, sitting out in the cold with a cat. A wonderful story with heartbreak, painful pasts, misunderstandings and all of the mess that comes with falling in love. This manga was just beautiful and realistic. It was funny, cute and heartbreaking. I loved all the characters and their complicated relationships. The only thing that was missing was a conclusion to Sagan and Kittaka. Other than that it was pure perfection.

Stories that involve the owner and patrons of the bakery. (1) High school student Mitani Kento loves Watari’s pastries to he visits the bakery every day with his best friend Sakurai Hiro. When Hiro gets a job at the bakery to pay for his crush’s birthday present, Kento begins to feel lonely because Hiro doesn’t have time for him, and jealous of his crush. Kento is so cute and funny, I love all his expressions, especially when he’s eating. Hiro seems like the cool, quiet type at the beginning but he’s really a dork. Their relationship is so healthy and just plain adorable, they were hilarious as a couple. It was really nice how they asked an adult about how to not hurt each other. And the mood during sex was really good, it was awkwardly hilarious, and I liked how they helped and encouraged each other through the experience. (2) Shy and insecure Sasayama gets assigned to sales and marketing under Hanasaki. He fell in love with him but he’s too afraid of confessing. They visit Watari’s bakery every day and Watari becomes Sasayama’s confidant. Sasayama is adorable, I want to pinch his cheeks. Hanasaki is caring and attentive to his subordinates but surprisingly jealous and super dense. I loved how lovey-dovey they were. Also, I liked how Watari messed with Hanasaki’s sandwich. (3) Finally it’s fairy gaymother’s turn for romance. After getting all the ships together Watari needs a man too. After waiting for 6 years Watari Natsuo’s lover and childhood friend Kyougo returned. Kyougo lives with Watari and works at the bakery. Their story is more about getting their relationship back on track. Watari is the perfect man (excluding that part where he forced himself on Kyougo when they were teenagers). He genuinely feels bad for forcing him so afterwards even though he wants Kyougo to stay he doesn’t want to force him. He’s sensitive, caring, and he can bake. Kyougo was childish and hurt himself and others unnecessarily. Though I kind of feel bad for him, he’s lost without a goal or a dream to achieve and he feels inferior to Watari, who knows what he wants and works hard every day. I’m happy all of them were able to find happiness.

This is definitively one of the more interesting yaois out there. The first story follows bookstore employees Ikeda Tooru and Azuma Kouji. Azuma is a sex service addict and one day gets a confession from the serious Ikeda. After noticing Ikeda’s cute mannerisms, Azuma kisses him and the kinkiness begins. Those two tried a whole bunch of fun sexual things. Toys, cosplay, bondage, sadomasochism, it was really interesting. Ikeda’s expressions and thoughts were just so cute, I liked how he studied and tried his best to make Azuma feel good. The second story was the weirdest and funniest of the bunch. Momoya Subaru accidentally grabbed school idol Nishikujou Masataka thinking it was his friend. From that moment Nishikijou decided Momoya was his boyfriend. From there things gets really strangely hilarious, Momoya tries to get away from Nishikujou but he, and his fangirls, keep setting traps for him. The mating dance thing killed me. I loved Nishikujou, Saeki and all of the fangirls. The last story is about coworkers Matsumae Taichi and Miura Reiji. Matsumae loves virgins and after finding out his superior was a virgin, he became interested in him. Only intending to keep him as a toy until he gets tired, the tables are turned when Miura becomes very interesting. I liked how Miura got the upper hand at the end, their obsession for each other was kind of creepy but oddly satisfying.

Zettai Unmei Houteishiki (Prequel). Gravity Eyes (Sequel). Yasobe Homura runs a successful club called Sonic and is part of the yakuza. His secret lover for four years, Karasuma Touji, is the successor for a rival group. When the number one host at Sonic, Kuramoto Kyouya is added to the mix, as he pursues a romantic relationship with Homura, jealousy will take over. While I didn’t dislike this one, I liked the prequel better. One of the things I loathe in any story is an unnecessary love triangle. If this story was kept the same except for the love triangle I would have loved it. It was obvious Homura really loved Touji, but he doesn’t want to get in the way, since Touji has to take over. Touji was kind of adorable when he wasn’t being a jealous jerk, or a plotting sneak. He would do anything for Homura, but they fail at the communication department. Kyouya was a little bit too pushy but still cute nevertheless. Too bad he got hurt when Homura obviously didn’t have feelings for him and was only using him as a replacement. When you constantly think about another person while being intimate, that’s a super red flag that you’re making a mistake. Being with someone shouldn’t be a punishment for letting the one you love go.
