Hitorijime Theory
This manga includes the stories of four couples. The first chapter follows roommates Tachibana and Sakura. Tachibana struggles with the feeling of not wanting to leave Sakura, but not wanting to be a hindrance in his life. Chapters 2 &3 follow Takao and Wakamiya. Since high school Wakamiya has been attracted by Takao's face. When the adorable Nishioka-sensei becomes friendly with them, Wakamiya realizes just how much he likes Takao. Chapter 5 is about a businessman who falls in love with his coworker, who is overly helpful. And finally the last story is another coworker love story, Miyoshi is overly spoiled by Matsunaga and fears that he will end up being an annoyance. Overall this manga was cute and funny, especially the first 4 chapters. I really enjoyed all of the stories.
Kawaisa Amatte Nanika ga Hyakubai
Even though Mikuni Renji wants a serious love relationship, every guy he’s been with use him for pleasure and leave him. Sadistic florist, Ichinomiya Shinobu fell in love with him because he finds Renji interesting. The second story is about a student who fell in love with his unsociable classmate. And the last story revolves around the son of a Mama, Kei, who gets confessed to by his coworker and transvestite Seto Tadashi. The first story really had me hurting for Renji, and though at least he found someone who wanted him I still kind of feel bad for the teasing he goes through. The last story is cute, though Kei was an asshole at the beginning, I liked them together. Mama’s yaoi radar was working.
Sayonara, Itoshi No My Friend
Haga Hajime is an unsociable hairdresser, who’s never really struggled with anything since his parents gave him all he ever wanted. As a result he doesn’t really know how to interact with the people around him. His first friend is Tatsuo Andou, a makeup artist who teaches him how to interact with other people. I really liked how their relationship progressed from friendship to love. Hajime is so child-like it’s endearing. The second volume focuses on Hajime’s brother Makoto. Having spent all his life living under his perfect brother’s shadow, Makoto developed a serious inferiority complex. So when his coworker Mizusawa Souta confesses to him and he accepts, he takes his first step towards happiness. Makoto really got the short end of the stick in life, everything he ever wanted was handed out to his brother. At least he found someone who acknowledges his faults but loved him regardless.
Kaikan Fortune
This manga includes the story of three couples, and all three couples have an unexpected twist to the characters. The first story is about a businessman, Kanbe, who’s in love with his manager, who enjoys sexually harassing him. The manager moonlights as a fortuneteller, whom Kanbe visits often. It took Kanbe a century and a half to realize that Ammon the fortuneteller and the manager was the same person. Kanbe was cute, too slow for his own good, but still as endearing as a puppy. In this first couple there were sekes, a threesome and even Captain Duck got some action. The second story is about a high school student who’s in a relationship with his teacher, but hasn’t had sex with him yet. Turns out that the teacher is a sex beast with an insatiable appetite. Good thing he’s young and full of energy. The last story is about a businessman, Shibata, who loves the younger type, but gets topped by his seemingly sweet subordinate, Saiga. In reality Saiga is a sadistic seme who awakens the inner uke and masochist of Shibata. The last story includes threesomes and bondage.
AN IDEAL LOVER
Tsukishiro is struggling with his sexuality so he goes to a gay bar. There he bumps into his subordinate Asahina, who guides Tsukishiro in his sexual debut. I wished it was longer. The characters were good, the art is good (as expected), and the story was going along nicely and it just ended. I liked how the seme took care of the uke.
