Ivy King
First, this contains *SPOILERS* Before I start I will point out, we have an immature/childlike/dimwitted MC, knowing that this character is legit simple, the choices she makes and the way she acts don't seem as wrong. The whole conversation about possible pregnancy was kind of stupidly oversimplified and overdramatized, playing it as a fact instead of a possibility. Is this because of ignorance, a world difference, or a knowledge difference? Could it be that their fertility rates are so high that copulation without contraception=pregnancy? They have sentient plants so do they have an ability that can tell automatically if the nightly activities resulted in fertilization? Even though the pacing is rushed and the plot has some holes... I like this one. I think some of the discrepancies would be solved with further world building, like Sebastian. Is he a specially cultivated plant? Is there a culture of sentient plants in this world and what role/gifts do they play/have? I can't say that the female lead makes smart life choices, but given her background I can still understand it. Even though it doesn't go into much detail, it seems that she doesn't value herself and was already being a "little" self-destructive in Japan. When you add on a traumatizing experience and then have someone who you are reliant on for everything it's easy to want to hold on to any positive feelings you may have at the time. Hence the accidental kiss turning into something more (yay suspension bridge theory). I believe again the pacing could have been better and it doesn't feel complete at 7 ch's. but overall it's not the worst. Also little brother Ludo had a minor crush, why play it up as a full blown love when there are so few chapters? If anyone was going to be a rival it should be the mystery researcher who's personal expertise are in time space theory. He would be so fascinated by her. The situations that transpire are all shallow and poorly defined, but as I've stated more than once, with better pacing and world development it could be a really good story. The world seems interesting and the existence of a person who isn't calculating, manipulative, or assuming would be very refreshing to all parties if they normally face people with agendas so I can see how she turns into a mascot especially when you add in the fact that she's never really controlled her own life or dealt with the repercussions of her actions and the fact she is basically the embodiment of the doll everyone thinks she is. I don't know if I should take it as a possible play on world views when what it boils down to is, everyone in this story is looking for a pretty empty vessel to pour their emotions into.
